I'll miss you

All of a sudden she was huge! Lindsey loved to tease her. He would say that she was actually carrying a balloon inside of her and she had been fooling him with a baby. Sure he can laugh when it's not him getting up every fifteen minutes to go to the bathroom at night or eating everything at sight to satisfy the hunger for a moment, she thought to herself. Despite all that, they were having great sex, something that kept both of them very happy and Lindsey was able to overlook her mood swings. It made them get more creative, but it was absolutely mind blowing.

She just got out of bed from one of their afternoon love making sessions, she was in the shower now. She got out pretty soon and took a look at her reflection in the mirror. She smiled. God... I wanted children, but not at this age, she talked to herself silently, yet I've never been happier. She only then realized Lindsey was in the doorway. She felt embarrassed and tried to cover herself up.

"Silly, girl!" He said, wrapping his arms round her, as best as he could. "You're beautiful, angel." He whispered, kissing her shoulder and she relaxed instantly. "How is my baby doing?"

"He's as much mine as he is yours, Lindsey."

"He?"

She grinned widely and nodded. "I didn't tell you?"

"Does it look like I know we're having a baby boy?"

"I'm sorry!" She laughed, looking apologetic at him. "I honestly thought I told you."

"Is it a hundred percent?"

"Nothing is ever certain, but the doctor seemed pretty confident."

"Oh my god! This is amazing news! Can we name him?"

Stevie thought he had never looked more adorable. "If you have any ideas then sure."

"My head is empty." He turned a little sad.

"Oh come on, Linds, we don't have to do this now. We have time."

"Right. You're right."

“Can you believe that in two months we will be parents to another baby?”

“Hardly, but yes. I mean… we didn’t plan this, but it’s been such a blessing. I feel like it’s brought us so much closer together.”

“Absolutely.” Stevie agreed. They stayed silent, looking at themselves in the mirror, also completely naked. That moment was so precious and comforting, she hated to break the silence. "Are you trully happy, Linds?"

“Don't even question it, Steves…this is what I’m supposed to be doing I think, having a family. Having you and Amber, expecting our baby and you know, just being together.”

She ran her fingers through his curls. “I'm glad we're on the same page then." He left small kisses on her neck and turned around to kiss her lips. "As nice as this is, I would love to get dressed now. We do have a nosy three year old."

"Mother's daughter."

"That's getting old, Bucks. She's my daughter when she's nosy, but she's a daddy's girl the rest of the time."

"Are you jealous, Steves?"

"No, I love seeing you together." She smiled sincerely. "And I can't wait to see you with our little one too."

"I'm the luckiest man alive."

"I'm not complaining either."

He kissed the tip of her nose, she loved when he did something random, but loving like that. "Good, because you know, you don't really have any choice left now that you're Mrs. Buckingham."

"You'll throw that in any time you see fit, won't you?"

"Most definitely." He said, with a serious expression on his face.

Stevie laughed sofly and pushed past him to go back to their bedroom. She took one glance at her journal then back at Lindsey. "And you say I'm nosy?"

"What do you mean?" He asked, putting on his pants.

"I left my journal and you peeked into it."

"I did not."

"It was open and now it's closed. You know how I am about what I write in it, it's very personal."

"But I'm your husband."

"And if it's something I want to share with you, I will."

"You are sung for me, a melody, ingrained in my soul... That sounds like one of your poems, you share those with me." He hoped she wasn't honestly upset. "Steves, that's really beautiful, your ability to write scares me."

"I was in the mood." She shrugged, pulling a loose blouse over her head.

"You're in the mood for a lot of things lately, I see." He winked and she smacked him, her cheeks turning slightly more pink. "It's cute I can still make you blush."

"Stop it, I'm actually embarrassed right now." She put her journal away safely. "I'm going to check on Amber."

"You know she's sleeping, if not, she'd be here by now."

Stevie shrugged and kissed him on her way out. "She's adorable when she's asleep, it's the only time she's not tearing the place down."

"You're right on that one." Lindsey laughed, making the bed. "Don't be gone for too long, I'll miss you."

"I won't."
