Look, I wish I could write more of the war of Underworld but I don't want to spoil too much for those who watch the anime as I have read the light novels. Anyway, let's just time skip to a couple days after the War of Underworld. Also, with the addition of Kaito in this chapter, we are effectively altering the canon of the story. Also, I will skip out on a major part of the story to prevent spoiling(even though I did it for the previous chapter)

I was personally invited by Kirito through ALO to come to a coffee shop-bar combo called <<Dicey's Cafe>>. I took a taxi to a park nearby and I followed the direction on my Augma. I reached the cafe and opened the door. A load of people was inside looking at the large-screen television on a far wall. I managed to catch Agil's eyes. I walked over with my backpack and I took off the Augma.
"Hey," I greeted, "Can I get an Oolong tea?"
He nodded and worked on the tea. I looked back at Klein, Leafa, Lisbeth, and Silica who were among the countless people watching the TV.
"Here," Agil said while handing me a cup.
"Thanks," I responded while taking the cup.
I took a few sips from the cup and managed to find an open chair. I took it and sat down.
"Without further ado, allow me to introduce...<<Alice>>," the lady on the TV said.
A woman with long hair of shimmering gold; skin whiter than gold; a slender build for a body gracefully crossed the stage. Her eyes were the brightest shade of blue. I never got to meet Alice personally in the Underworld nor ALO.
The meeting went down as what you expected. There were concerns about true-AI replacing more and more human jobs and some statements from us back in the cafe. There was a funny part where a reporter asked to see Alice's brain but was roasted back with this statement:
"But before that, could you please prove to us that you are not a robot yourself."
"What...? O-Of course I'm not a robot... I wouldn't know how to prove that either," the reporter stammered.
"It is simple. I am asking you to open your skull, please, and show me your brain."
The press conference ended around 5:00 pm. I packed up my stuff and pulled out my Augma in order to call a taxi. I forked over the 10 dollars I owed Agil for the two Oolong teas I had.
"Wait," Klein called out.
I turned around I found the five of them staring back at me.
"What?" I asked.
"I know you dived in to save Kirito," Lisbeth hinted, "I know it's pretty late to say this but...thank you."
"Don't worry, just send my regards to Kirito and Asuna."
I walked out of the cafe and ordered another taxi back. I got a notification from Lisbeth.
Lisbeth: There's going to be a return ceremony for him and Asuna on ALO soon.
Kai: I'll come when I think about it.
I decided to not go to the party that day. I might regret it soon but for now, I just wanted some time off from VRMMOs.
