My last year of college came and went faster than I expected. I had just finished moving into a rented apartment near the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
I was able to attend Kirito's graduation before I left for Massachusetts and insane would be an understatement. Kirito garnered a lot of attention because he was the savior of SAO and I got my share of affection too. After his graduation, I left for Massachusetts. I haven't seen Asuna nor Kirito since then.
Ring!
I looked at my Augma resting on the coffee table. There was a blinking light under the earpiece which meant I had a message from someone. I reached over and placed the Augma on my head. It was a notification from Kirito.
Kirito: I need help!
Kai: What do you mean?
Kirito: I need a gift for Asuna. Her birthday is tomorrow.
Kai: I think the best thing for you would be for you two to do something fun together.
Kirito: I guess so.
I rolled over and stared at the clock.
"It's only 9:05?" I groaned.
I had done most of my work so I could have a free weekend. Now that move is starting to bite me back. I had a minor in drone engineering but all of my equipment was at MIT.
"Might as well kill the time," I thought.
I got up from my couch and grabbed my motorcycle keys. I walked out of my apartment and down to my bike. Another message from Kirito appeared.
Kirito: Where should I take her though?
Kai: Just take her somewhere where you would both have fun together. Or you could just buy a gift or something.
I mounted my bike and pushed on the kickstand. The engine sputtered to life when I placed the key in the ignition. I replaced my Augma for a bike helmet with a built-in Augma.
"MIT," I whispered.
A small map appeared on the right side of my vision. There was a light blue line guiding me to MIT. The rubber throttle vibrated in my hands. I twisted the handle forwards and the engine pulsed under me. The force of the back-wheel pushed on the pavement below me. I lifted my feet from the asphalt and drove out of the parking structure.
I finally reached the MIT Robotics Lab after 10 minutes. I dismounted my bike and chained it to the bike station. I walked to the robotics laboratory and into a workshop. A small quadcopter laid on the metal workbench. I ambled over and sat down on a nearby stool.
"Burning the weekend oil?" someone asked.
I turned around and saw my minor's teacher standing behind me.
"I suppose so, sir," I responded.
He walked up to me and admired my drone.
"What do you plan to do with this drone?" he asked.
"The best way to explain it is to demonstrate it," I stated.
I turned on a small remote and the drone. The drone beeped once, signaling the drone and remote was connected. I handed the controller to my professor and pulled out a pair of 5.11 Tactical gloves.
"The movement of the gloves can control the drone," I instructed.
I pointed my hand forward and the drone flew forwards. I closed my fist and the drone stopped moving.
"Drone's application is mainly in the military and police activities," I told him, "It might save more lives."
"Is it like an extra person?" he asked.
"Aye."
"Okay, continue working hard."
My professor left me and I got back to work on the drone.
4:00 pm
There were tools scattered all over the workbench. I placed the drone onto a raised platform. The drone itself hasn't improved a lot. I just sighed and called it a day.
"Time to go home," I thought.
I packed up everything and left the workshop. My bike was still locked up. I bent over and unlocked the chain.
"Kaito?" someone asked.
I turned around and saw a familiar person. A black-haired person along with a chestnut-haired person.
"Kirito? Asuna?" I asked.
"In the flesh," he responded.
We caught up with each other at a nearby restaurant. Turns out, Kirito and Asuna are living in Boston together in an apartment from Agil. Kirito is attending MIT and Asuna is at Boston Institution.
"What are you doing Kirito?" I asked.
"Full Dive Technology Research," he responded.
"And you Asuna?" I continued.
"Liberal Arts," she responded.
It was around 7:00 pm before we finally left the restaurant. I drove back to my apartment by myself. The nighttime sky started to blanket the sky. It was great to find out that Kirito and Asuna were here in Boston.
"The next 2 years are going to be interesting," I thought.

You Know, I liked writing this book. This is the end of this book but if you want me to continue on to the final 2 years of college and beyond, then just comment on this last chapter.
