It was the 7th day of being in the Unital Ring. That day, was when everything went to hell. I was woefully short on firepower as I only had my FN57C, a CBJ-MS, and a Muramasa F6. All the skills I had were reset to level one. Luckily, my rig was super light and I had a handful of magazines on me. I looked around and saw that most people were stripped down to their undergarments.
"Damn this is exhausting," I thought while taking a drink from a small canteen.
I managed to reset my <<Thirst Points>> but my <<Hunger Points>> were still at 30 percent. For the past few days, I have been grinding and most of my skills are at least level 10. I still haven't found anyone I knew.
"I have to find my way through," I thought.
I walked through the forest with my CBJ-MS pressed up to my shoulder. I killed everything with my combat knife in order to conserve ammunition. It wasn't long before I reached a cliff face.
"Let's see how much time I got," I thought.
I looked at the scenery and spotted the sun near the horizon. I placed my fingers on top of one another and placed the lowest finger on the horizon. The sun touched my 5th finger meaning I only had 75 minutes left.
"Got to find shelter," I thought.
Most of my time in the game was being a nomadic person. I had a tent that only fit one person. I scaled down the cliff face and a notification popped into my face:
Climbing Skill Level 12!
I reached the bottom of the cliff face that leads into a forest. I looked at my <<Hunger Points>> and noticed it was at 25 percent. I looked at my inventory and found a small MRE. Usually, MREs don't really have a purpose in GGO but now they're going for big money in this new game.
A lot of people complained to Zaskar about the ordeal after some people were suddenly teleported to this new game. I wasn't a part of the few because that day I learned everything I have right now. My STR stat is high enough to hold up my equipment.
"Hello food," I thought while tearing the cover.
I prepared the MRE while walking through the forest. I must have sneaked past a ton of monsters because another notification popped up:
Sneak Skill increased to Level 5!
I ate the meal while walking through the forest and I finally came upon a group of lights.
"What is that?" I thought while stashing my MRE.
I got into a prone position and I gingerly crawled up to the lights. I swiveled my head back and forth and didn't see anyone there at the moment. I reached the wall of a log cabin and noticed that it was repaired and not created.
"Player-made cabin, there has got to be something good in here.
I reached over to my side and found a universal suppressor I got from a quest. I screwed it onto the end of my FN57C and checked the magazine. I unhooked my photon sword and placed it in my right hand.
"Thanks for teaching me this Kirito," I thought while analyzing my sword.
I did not have any ion grenades nor flash bangs so I had to take this raid gingerly. I walked to the front of the house and noticed a promenade before the front door. I pressed up against the wall and peeked through a nearby window. No one was in my immediate vision.
"Okay, let's try to take this nice and easy," I thought while reaching for a small case on my belt.
There is a system where no one can go into a house without being invited by the owner. There is a loophole where if you have a high enough <<Lock Picking>> skill, you can get into the house. For the past few days, I've been working on lock picking.
"Almost there," I thought.
I fiddled with the lock a little more before hearing a resounding click. I turned the handle and the door pushed open. I placed the kit into my pocket and pushed the door open. There was no one in sight.
"Clear? That's odd," I thought while pushing the door open.
I walked inside with my pistol and sword in both hands. It was a modest cabin and I noticed something on the living room floor. It was a mix of a platypus and a dinosaur. It was sleeping near the furnace.
"Who are you?" a voice asked.
I turned around and ignited my sword. I saw a black-haired man standing there flanked by a blond-colored and light blue-colored women.
"Seems like you caught me," I said, "but I ain't going down without a fight."
He leaned over to the woman in blonde hair and whispered something. She whispered something back in response. My hearing skill was decently high so I could hear the whole conversation.
"What should we do with him, Kirito?" the blonde asked.
"Kirito?" I contemplated in my thoughts.
"Let's try to avoid confrontation," the man whispered back.
I retracted my sword and holstered my pistol.
"Sorry about this Kirito," I chuckled.
"Wait, how do you know my name?" he asked in surprise.
"It's me, Kaito. Long time no see."
I gave a frank smile. Kirito smiled back and accepted it.
