4 hours and 40 minutes left

"How did you even build a wooden wall in a day?" I was sitting on the floor, trying to rest my legs. The zombies were long gone by now. I didn't know if they were trying to trick us or if they got distracted. Me and this guy we trapped in a tiny little space with boxes blocking the entrances to the apartment. The guy was sitting across from me. He looked like he hasn't gotten a wink of sleep in days.

"It's a been a week not a day."

"No it hasn't. This zombie thing started today."

"That's bullshit.It's definitely been a day "

"No it's been a day. Actually less than a day."

"Bullshit. Me and a bunch of people in this apartment complex were forced to be locked in this place for a week." He looked confident when he said that. Has he lost count of time

"Which day of the week?"

"Wednesday." Its Friday.

"Date?"

"I think the fourteenth? I don't know around that." I pull out my phone. The screen read March twenty-second. I nodded my head.

"Weird, I don't remember running into zombies before today."

"What's the date?"

"The twenty-second." Weird. Did I miss something on the new about zombies? I doubt it. I paid attention to the news even during class.  "So what happened since then, is there anymore people here?"

"Well, at first there was this one group of people who didn't turn into rabies infested people. But then some started turning, then more started turning, and now all of the people here is infected except me."

"Where did you put the first group of people who turned?"

"At first I kind of just locked them up in one half of the apartment complex. The other people who turned I locked them up in my apartment."

"Why didn't you people leave when most of the people starting turning? It didn't look like anything was blocked at the entrance."

"There were guards outside and there are a bunch of zombies on the first- actually how did you get up here? The first floor is filled with those cannibals."

"I climbed up the side of the building." I could feel his gaze burning a hole through my skull.

"You little monkey, how?" I  felt my mouth form a frown, I try to make my face normal but I just couldn't do it. I always hated it when people called me or my friends a monkey. Every time we were climbing up the sides of building and learning how to do parkour people would mock us and call us monkeys. They only stopped when we got good at it.

"Don't call me a monkey! I used a pipe to climb." He let out a grunt before sitting on the ground. We stayed like that until I heard something scratch the boxes next to me. I jumped up and quickly backed up from the wall. "What the hell was that?"

"Oh, those were the people I locked up in an apartment. They can't get out and I can't get in without them attacking me, so I'm letting them starve to death. It's taking awhile. Plus that was my apartment, so I can't leave it. It has my stuff in there."

"Why did you leave your stuff in there?"

"I had to make a quick decision. Its hard getting your stuff when you cannibals are trying to nom on your body."  Idiot. He did say it's been awhile though. They have to be hungry by now. I don't have a weapon though.
