ZEN POV:

The last few days were well hectic in some way mostly on Violets part. Cause Yoruichi has been teaching Violet all the hand to hand techniques that she could without well killing her and in the short amount of time that we have.

Violet is getting the very well deserved rest that she has earned for herself. She is still unconscious but according to Yoruichi she will be up in a bit now. I was still waiting for her to wake up. Ash although he was standing right behind me but it seemed to me that he was so lost in his thoughts that seems like he didn't even know that I am standing beside him. I was about to call him back to Earth when I heard a grown from behind me showing that violet is awake.

Ash has heard it as well guessing from how fast he turned to look at her I'd say he is already back to Earth.

VIOLET POV:

I opened my eyes to see two weirdos standing at the edge of the bed looking at me as if I just came back from my grave or something. I arched my brows at them as they were staring at me with very very serious looks on their faces. I was about to say something to snap them out of it when Ash flashed a smile at me.

"Rise and shine sleeping beauty. How are you feeling after a solid twelve hours of beauty sleep." He said as he winked at me.

But my eyes widened at that.

"WHAT. I HAVE BEEN OUT FOR TWELVE FREAKING HOURS. WHY DIDN'T YOU THROUGH SOME WATER ON ME OR SOMETHING. What about my training." I asked.

"Relax sis. According to Yoruichi you have learned all the basic defense and offense techniques that you can learn in this short amount of time. And honestly speaking seeing you fight their and getting out of that arena alive without any permanent injuries I agree with her whole heartedly." Zen said.

Really. But all I did was get beaten by Yoruichi with nothing but my sorry attempt to land at least one successful punch on her.

" I also wanna tell you that holding this guy down from killing someone especially Kisuke was a very very hard task for me." Zen said to me while Ash coughed.

" Yeah I wanted to ask about that. When I looked at the first time I saw you holding Ash the second time Yoruichi gave me a chance to recover was when Zen was standing between you and Kisuke." I said pointing at Ash.

"And the third one was the most hilarious only if Yoruichi hadn't punched me in the stomach right afterwards" I said.

"Let me guess it was when Gray was kissing Kisuke's hand and I was planning on killing them both and then apologizing to you sincerely was unintentionally murdering you teacher with a few fake tears or so" Ash said smiling at me only his most evil smile I ever had ever seen.

"I have a feeling you still have an unintentional intention to do something like that. Anyway Zen tell me what was happening I really wanna know." I expectedly looked at my brother.

"Ok so here goes..." Zen said and the next half an hour we spent laughing our heads off while Ash shook his head from time after time. I few times small laughs did escape his lips but mostly he was holding his head in his hands. But seriously that was hilarious. And since I was the culprit behind most of it that made me just a little bit guilty but that guilt just faded away after about two seconds of its arrival.

"I hate the fact that I missed all that drama. I would have been hilarious to see all of you like that. Why could I not hold on just a little bit longer. I really regret that." I said looking at the two of them with a very serious face.

"oh you wanna recap. I can give it to you no problem. GRAY" Ash yelled his name before Zen practically lunged at him and put a hand on his mouth shutting him up immediately.

"Ash don't test my patience anymore. Because I swear you will die by my hand if you start once again I have had my share of being the mature one around." He said and I once again started laughing. It's been so long since we did this. Like we are also normal. I can't believe I am saying this but I missed this. All of this a lot.

Ash and Zen were still at it when I looked at my hand and my eyes widened in shock. My ring. The diamond on it was changing colour. When Ash put it on my finger it was blue. Pure blue. But now it was turning into a little of pink. A bluish pink shade. And I had no idea just what that meant. I guess I will ask Kisuke about it.

Right now I am just a bit relieved that Ash didn't ask me anything about the little think I did in the arena so that he won't be affected by my wounds. After about an hour of sitting around I went to Kisuke's room and knocked at the door.

"Yes come in Violet" Kisuke said.

"How did you know that I was standing on the other side." I asked him.

"I knew because you are the only one who knocks and wait for an answer before coming in" he smiled at me.

"Um Kisuke my ring. The diamond is changing its colour. Do you know what that could mean" I asked him and he arched his brows before taking a look at it.

"I am not sure. This is a very special ring. But I don't know if that is supposed to happen. Violet I think you might have broken it while training with Yoruichi" he said to me it seems like he was enjoying this for some reason but that wasn't the case at the moment .

No no no this is Ash's engagement ring. It was not supposed to break while I have it. What will I tell him when he sees this. After Kisuke had set me on panic mode I went to the roof for some alone time so that I can sulk by myself without being disturbed.

It was already night and the breeze was gentle but cool and it sent shivers down my spine. I was playing with my ring and tracing the diamond on it that I had damaged and thinking how to face when admitting what happened to it. Simply because I had no idea what had actually happened to it.

"Hey what are you thinking about so lost in thought" Ash asked appearing behind me out of nowhere.

I quickly turned around to face him.

"When did you get here" I asked him.

"A few minutes ago. What's going on in that head of yours" he asked smiling at me.

Ok I will have to tell him sooner or later let's just get it over with before he finds out himself.

"Hey Ash. Don't freak out but I think I might have damaged the ring you gave me. it changing it color." I said not daring to look at him. I was looking at my feet the whole time.

"Really what color is it now." He asked.

"Just answer the damn question" I said in a warning tone.

I don't know why but I sensed a little bit of excitement in his voice.

" Okay then let me see" he said leaning towards me I quickly covered the ring he tried to look but my hold was firm

" Please just tell me" he pleaded like it was his life force or something

"Um blue I think." I said to him.

Well almost blue. Its blue with a little shade of pink in it but it's almost blue so I told him that it's blue. I saw his excitement turning into disappointment why is that wrong or something.

"No you don't have to feel sorry about anything it's perfectly fine. The way it should be" he said chuckling.

"What do you mean" I said finally looking at him.

"The colors of the diamond on the ring. They represent the state of one's heart. The ring will change color when your heart changes" he said looking at the sky.

I was relieved after hearing that but I don't know why I did not show him the color of my ring. I just didn't want him to see it. I don't understand myself these days it's weird. This has never happened before.

"It's beautiful isn't it. Like there is no problem at all in life." He said still looking at the sky.

"Yes. Yes it is" I said as I looked at the sky as well still confused of what was happening to my mind. But still enjoying the cool breeze that was blowing. The very starry night and just a very comfortable silence between us as we stared at the sky and for once i was enjoying looking at both of them.
