A/N: Caution, this is very sad, don't read if you're not comfortable.

***SELF-HARM WARNING***

Archie typed quickly, leaving Sunnyside Trailer Park,

‘Betty, I did what you said.’

‘Thank you, Arch, I’m sorry I asked you to do that, it’s my problem, not yours.’

‘You okay?’

‘No.’

‘Anything I can do?’

‘No, but thanks.’

Betty turned off her phone and sat on her bed. Her eyes watered. She pinched herself. This wasn’t a nightmare. This was real. Who was she kidding? She didn’t know that she and Jughead could walk it back, as she had so confidently told Archie.

He won’t take you back.

He probably would never want anything to do with her ever again. Without fully realizing it, she stood up and walked to the bathroom.

He’ll never forgive you for this.

He was gone, she had hurt him, and it was all her fault. She reached deep into the cabinet under the sink and drew out a blade, one she didn’t think she’d ever use again when she started dating Jughead. He made her feel wanted.

No one will ever want you again.

What was left for her in this god-forsaken town with pep? Tears fell freely and silently down her face. She brought the blade, shaking, to her wrist.

You lost the one good thing in your life.

Her mother hated her. Her sister was gone. She had lost Veronica and Jughead. She applied more and more pressure until the beads of blood appeared there.

No one loves you anymore.

She relished in the pain, wondering if she could make herself hurt as much as she hurt Jughead. Probably not.

You’re useless.

It was only a matter of time before the Black Hood took Archie away from her too, and Betty was powerless against him.

You’re pathetic.

She cried harder, still silently, even though she was home alone. Without realizing it she was cutting deeper and blood seeped into the sink, staining it red.

You’ve lost him forever

Her arms were now littered with cuts, some larger and deeper than others. She felt numb to the pain, the pain she wished she could feel because she deserved it.

You’re alone.

She was vaguely aware of someone yelling, calling out to her at the front door. She ignored it and sat on the bathroom floor, starting to feel dizzy from blood loss.

You’re alone.

Whoever was at the door had somehow gotten in, and she thought she remembered forgetting to lock the door. Fists pounded at her bedroom door.

“Betty? Betty! I know you’re in there.”

You’re alone.

It was Jughead. She cried harder, as quietly as she could, not wanting him to see her like this, willing him to go away and leave her alone as she deserved. Her eyes faded in and out of consciousness.

You’re alone.
