The boys decided to call it a night, finding the nearest motel. It was only another five hour drive from where they were, but they needed to get some sleep. Once the group picked the rooms, they were across from each other when Lily stopped in her tracks, letting Jackie go ahead. Turning around, she saw Dean trailing behind Sam.

"Dean, wait.." She said, getting his attention. "I need to talk to you..."

Hesitating, he told Sam he'll be in in a minute, closing the door. Setting his stuff down on the ground, he folded his arms. "What?"

She stuffed her hands in her pockets. "Look...I know we're not on good terms but..I just...I get so protective of people I know it's just this switch flicks in my brain and I have to stop the threat..." She sighed. "Point is...I'm trying to say I'm sorry, okay? I'm sorry for almost killing your brother.."

Dean's eyes widened, never thinking in a million years he would hear something like that from her. He thought she would just blow it off like it never happened. "It's uh..it's okay." He said. "Like he said, we've been through worse...just..don't do that again."

Lily lightly smirked. "Yeah..."
Before she could walk off, his next question stopped her. "Why did you react to Cass like that back there?"

Biting her lip, her shoulders tensed up as she turned back to him. "We have a history...he was there for me as a friend when I was at my lowest."
Dean gave a small nod. "Must've been nice.."

She nervously scratched the back of her head. "Yeah..it was."
Leaving it at that, she walked into the room her and Jackie were in, leaving Dean by himself. Grabbing his duffel bag, he kept his eyes on their door before going into him and Sam's room.

"What was that about?" Sam asked, rummaging through his stuff.

Dean shrugged, setting his stuff on the bed, looking up at Sam. "It was weird...she actually apologized for what she did to you.."

Sam's eyebrows arched. "Really? Huh..did you accept it?" When he didn't answer right away, Sam chuckled. "You totally did."

Dean couldn't hide it this time, lightly smiling. "Yeah...I did."

It was a quiet night, Jackie sleeping peacefully as Lily just sat on her own bed, a journal in her lap. It was something she couldn't get rid of, considering it was something Samuel gave to her before all this. He remembers his last words that he shared with her.
"Take this, and don't let anyone else have it. It's yours to keep, little biscuit."

A single drop of something splashed onto the paper, and when she wiped her cheek, it was stained with red. Wiping her eyes, she pulled herself together, about to read a random journal entry that she has read a thousand times before Jackie started to breathe a little heavy, her head moving from side to side. Immediately going to her, she shook her shoulder.

"Jackie, wake up. Wake up, it's not real!" She said.
Snapping out of it, Jackie was breathing fast, gripping her friends hand, her shoulders slumping. "Sorry....just..bad dream.."

Lily gave her a reassuring look. "It's fine. What was it about?"

It took her a second to re-think of it. "We were in Wyoming, getting the gun...and when we got out, the demons attacked us..and...you were all dead..then they moved in to kill me and that's when I woke up."
Lily squeezed her hand, a look of anger passing through her eyes before it went away as quick as it came. "Well..it won't be like that..trust me. We'll end them for good."

Jackie nodded. "Yeah..I hope so."
Letting go of her, she laid back down, trying to get some more rest, Lily going back to her bed, keeping a closer eye on her throughout the night.
