CHAPTER 2 DREAMS AND THE DREAMER

She opened her eyes as her heart was pounding. She looked left to see Eddie beside her. Eddie had woken to the sound of her breathing heavily. 

"Another nightmare." He said. 

"yes, again."

The reality was that it wasn't really a nightmare. She had been having the same dream over and over of when she met Noah. She couldn't admit it to Eddie, she knew it'd upset him. It was day 16 of quarantine and all Natalie could think about was Noah. 

"We can actually have so much quality time nat!" Eddie was a dumpster cleaner. He had taken days off from work to spend time with Natalie. *bang* *bang* *bang* Natalie jumped. She began to walk to the door slowly and looked through the hole in the door. 

"no way, it's Noah" Natalie began to jump with joy. 

"who?" Eddie was confused. Natalie opened the door as she saw Noah outside.

 "I've been knocking on every door in the neighborhood looking for you, are you alright, I noticed you ran in a-" Eddie walked to the door frustrated. "who's this Noah?" Natalie was speechless. She had been caught up looking at Noah's eyes as he blinks. *blink* *blink* "oh sorry what" she shook her head and was back in reality.

 "oh, this is uh, my good friend Noah from boxing." Noah smiles as Natalie tells Eddie. "boxing... oh yes, the wait is this the boy that broke your hand?" Eddie asked, "wait, your hand broke?!" Noah asked with concern. "um yeah this is him, you mind if I have a little walk with him." she didn't bother asking but stated, she knew Eddie wouldn't approve, so she went outside and closed the door, and left with Noah.

"I didn't know I hit you that bad" she looked at him and told him why she actually left and what happened. "you shouldn't be scared of him and be with someone you don't love." Noah tried telling her she should be happy. She looked up at him and fell into his arms. 

He grabbed her and they both hugged for a while. "I want you Noah, you!" she said. Noah grabbed her chin and looked her in the eye, and they kissed. His lips brush hers. She wants to pull away before anyone sees but she loses herself in the moment.  She manages to pull away after a while. 

She smiles, her heart littering at his voice. Never before has she felt something like that with Eddie. She knew Noah was special but didn't know how to deal with it. They walk back to her house quietly without a word. She arrives at her door and waves goodbye, not knowing if she'll ever see him again. 

She enters the house and sees Eddie standing and waiting for her. "you took a while, what did you guys do." Eddie asks "we just walked, and he was apologizing for hurting me." That week Natalie hadn't said a word about what happened and began having her dreams about Noah regularly
