3rd POV

Jack walked back to the Torchwood group with an unconscious Ianto in his arms. When he got back, there were shouts of concern.

"Is he alright? We heard a gunshot!" The members of Torchwood Three all stood up in alarm. Jack placed Ianto down against the wall of the awfully smelling room. "He's not shot, just unconscious," Jack confirmed. Owen left the cannibals- who have all passed out from blood loss- and made his way over to Ianto to make sure he was alright.

Owen took only two seconds before declaring if anything was wrong. "He'll have a concussion when he wakes, maybe go into a bit of shock from everything but that's all." Jack nodded. "Are the police on their way?"

"Yes, they are," Gwen replied. Jack turned to her and noticed she looked pale. "It went well then?" He asked sarcastically. Gwen gave a laugh, "oh it went so well," she said in the same sarcastic tone, "sick bastards."

Tosh came running through the door. "I heard a gunshot. Did you find him?" Jack nodded. "His body is still in the hall."

Gwen looked over to Jack. "You killed him?" She asked. "He was about to shoot Ianto in the head, yes I had to kill him," Jack explained simply. He left out the part that he had heard Ianto telling the man to shoot. He'd just have to keep an eye on Ianto now, that's all.

Sirens became audible. Owen then tried to convince Gwen to go to the hospital but she refused to. Jack looked over at Ianto. Ianto's head was against his chest and he looked peaceful. Jack wondered if he actually meant forcing the man to shoot him or if it was use panic. Of course, Jack wouldn't be super surprised if Ianto did mean it. If he did actually want to die, Jack hoped that Ianto would want to talk about it.

Tosh helped Owen to bring the unconscious and (in Jack's mind,) hopefully dying cannibals outside. Jack meant what he had said when his gun was pointed at one of the man's head. "These people don't deserve a warning" because they really don't.  Not people who harm and kill others so they can eat when there is other food around. It's just cruel and wrong.

"Jack, want to help?" Owen called over to Jack. Jack looked over and began to help move the bodies into the provided ambulances. A paramedic went over to Ianto to take him to the hospital where he likely needed to go. But Jack stopped him before the paramedic could. "He stays with us," Jack commanded. The paramedic looked over at Jack, confused. After a moment, he moved away from Ianto and let him be.

Once the town was cleaned out of bodies and cannibals, it was time to head back to the Hub. Ianto was still out cold. With help from Gwen and Tosh, Jack managed to get Ianto into the car. Owen was off with the teenage kid, trying to reason with him about something. Owen probably got into a fight with the kid and was trying to make his argument clear as the "more mature" one of the two.

Finally, Owen came back growling and muttering per usual. And then, Torchwood Three was off. The ride back felt longer than the ride it took to get there. Maybe because everyone was quiet and no one had Gwen and Owen's abnormal conversations to listen to to pass the time.

Because there was no urgency, the team (for once) didn't speed through the empty, dark streets in the night. Half way through the ride, Gwen fell asleep on Owen's shoulder. Which really seemed to piss Tosh off but she stayed silent. Tosh sat in the front passengers seat while Jack drove. This was different from where they usually sat for the reason of Owen having to keep checking in on Ianto.

It was almost midnight when the SUV arrived back at the Hub. Tosh went home almost immediately and Gwen left after receiving medicine from Owen to help with her gun wound. After providing Gwen with the medicine, Owen helped Jack with Ianto.
