A Blue String (Janto AU)

4 - Black and Blue

3rd POV

It's isn't long before Gwen and Tosh are back in the Hub. Gwen took the weevil down to the cells while Tosh went over to Owen and Ianto. "What happened? What's wrong?" Tosh asked once she saw Owen. 

"Ianto had a seizure of sorts. Except, he was unconscious the entire time it happened. When that happens, it certainly means something had is happening," explained Owen while trying to do something on his computer. "Unconscious seizures don't happen normally. I'm trying to check Ianto's health history to see if there is anything causing this." 

Tosh frowned, "couldn't you have done this by yourself?" She asks. "I could have," Owen admits flatly, "but I need one of your gadgets in case there is no source of what caused this. And I don't want to be the one to explain this all to Jack." 

"Explain to me what?" 

Tosh and Owen turn to see Jack, awake and staring at them. "Perfect timing," Owen mutters sarcastically. Jack crosses his arms and makes his way down to Owen and Tosh. "Explain to me what?" He repeats. 

"Well, you see: Ianto hasn't woken up yet." Owen glances back at Ianto. "Obviously. And just recently he had a seizure in which he wasn't awake for. I can't currently find anything in his health that would cause this, which makes me worried." 

 A frown crosses Jack's face. For a second, he stood with his eyes glued to Ianto. "Well, we'll have to wait until he wakes up to ask him. Do you have something that can predict when he's going to wake up?" 

Owen shook his head, "already tried that. Nothing showed up. It didn't say if he was going to wake up or not, nor did it say when." 

Jack nods. "Where's Gwen?" He asked. "She was bringing the weevil down to the cells. Should be back by now..." Tosh trailed off before walking over to her desk and pulling up the security cameras. 

Tosh's eyes widened as she saw Gwen fighting the weevil. Gwen was visibly loosing to the alien. "Jack!" Tosh called. Jack went over to see what Tosh had called him over for before running towards the cells and disappearing from view. 

When Jack reached the cells, Gwen was wrestling with the weevil. The weevil had Gwen pinned to the ground. Gwen was yelling and trying to get the weevil off of her before she got  bit by it. Jack quickly ran to her and pulled the fighting weevil off of her. Struggling slightly, Jack managed to get the weevil into a cell. 

Gwen was out of breath from fighting the weevil. She pushed herself up from the floor and stood tall. "Thanks," she breathed out. Gwen looked at Jack, "there's something wrong, isn't there?" Gwen asked, "that's why Owen called us in, right?" 

"No," Jack shook his head, "Owen called you back in because he found some stupid picture of a dog." Gwen laughed at Jack's sarcasm. "Although Ianto seemingly had an unconscious seizure which is really worrying Owen." 

With the weevil all locked up, the pair went back upstairs. Jack was rather good at hiding his worry but Gwen could see right through it. The ex-policewoman placed a hand on Jack's arm. Jack gave a small smile to her as they walked into the main part of the Hub. 

Tosh was on her computer and was furiously typing. Owen kept to his corner with Ianto. "Any progress?" Jack asks, walking over to Owen. "Nothing new, it's been five minutes," says Owen flatly. Jack nods. 

There's a few minutes of silence as Jack watches Ianto. 

Owen suddenly looks up at one of the machines attached to Ianto. His eyes narrowed and he stood up straight before making his way to Ianto's side. "What's happening?" Jack asked as soon as Owen moved.
