The Captain Jack of this universe watched from his office as the other Jack and this Ianto walked out of the Hub. The immortal stood with his arms crossed and a worried look on his face.

Maybe this loop hole would work. That Darkness Harkness thingy said that only Jack could help Ianto. It didn't say that it had to be a specific Jack. So, maybe just maybe, this new Jack could cheer Ianto up in a way original Jack wasn't able to. AU!Jack had already gotten the other Ianto happy, maybe he could do the same for another Ianto.

"Jack?"

The said captain turned his head to see Gwen standing at the door of his office. Jack stepped out of his worrisome thoughts, "yes, Gwen? What is it?"

Gwen looked rather worried herself. "It's Rhys. He's really sick. Do you think-"

"Of course," Jack cut her off, "you can go help Rhys. Hope he gets better." Jack excused Gwen, who nodded her thanks before rushing to get her things. Gwen was soon out the door and gone.

Jack looked back out over the Hub. Owen was taking care of the other Ianto, doing a few tests to see if, perhaps, his DNA would be able to stop the Sentifract's sickness. It was a slim chance, but there was always a possibility. Tosh sat at her computer, frantically typing away. Numbers were flying across her screen as she did so.

After another few minutes of thinking, Jack made his way down to the main part of the Hub to check on the other Ianto. He walked over to Owen's autopsy corner, where Ianto was standing and leaning against the autopsy table while Owen ran a few tests through his computer.

"How are you doing, Ianto?" Jack asked him.

Ianto looked up at Jack. "I'm doing well, sir," Ianto replied and Jack almost forgot it wasn't his Ianto standing in front of him.

"Good," Jack nodded, "can I get you anything? Food, maybe?" Jack checked his watch. It was around 11:30 in the morning. Close enough to lunch time.

"Some pizza would be nice," Ianto said quietly, like he was ashamed for asking.

"Yeah. Coming right up. Owen, you want some?" Jack turned to the Torchwood doctor and asked him a question.

"Uh... sure," Owen answered without looking up from his screen.

Jack then walked over to Toshiko and asked her if she wanted any. She said yes. After getting Tosh's answer, Jack took the responsibility of calling the usual pizza place. He ordered two pizzas, since not everyone was there, and hung up the phone.

As Jack was about to make his way back to his office with a plan to do some paperwork, the Hub's door opened, sounding the alarm. In came the other Jack. Alone.

The immortal looked expectantly at the door, waiting for Ianto to appear. He never did. After the door closed, Jack stormed over to the other Jack, who was with the other Ianto.

"Did you just leave him alone?" Jack asked, rage in his voice.

The other Jack looked over at him, his eyes became hard. "He kissed me," the other Jack retorted. "And I have a boyfriend already, so I panicked, okay?"

"So you just left him?!" Jack repeated.

The two Jacks stood mere inches apart.

"He could be out there right this moment, panicking because you left him there!"

Owen stepped in before either Jack could rip the other's throat out repeatedly. "Okay, put the rulers away, zip up. Let's just calmly go look for Ianto and hope he isn't dead or anything. Cool? Cool. Great let's go."

The two Jacks stared at each other, not moving. Then the other Ianto put his hand on the other Jack's shoulder. The other Ianto whispered something in the other Jack's ear and the other Jack seemed to calm down.

"Tosh," Owen called, "stay here with Ianto. I have to go with these jackasses and make sure they don't kill each other. And Jack- our Jack- maybe try calling Ianto so we don't have to go out looking for him if he just answers the phone."

Jack obeyed Owen, only rolling his eyes a bit. He took out his phone and called Ianto. A ringing echoed through the Hub. All eyes turned to the other Ianto, who sheepishly took out his phone and muted it. But the ringing kept going.

Tosh was the one who pointed out Ianto's phone. His phone sat on the table, so calling him was crossed out.

Time for Plan B!

Owen stayed between the two Jacks as they left the Hub behind. Usually, one of the Jacks would make a joke about Owen being in the middle, but they were just too mad at each other.

This Jack, wasn't just mad. He was furious. How could the other Jack just leave like that? For all they know, Ianto is out there with no memory of who the hell he is, because Other Jack got Ianto's hopes up and then crushed them with his foot.

Other Jack also was mad for his own reasons. This Ianto should have known that this Jack was already taken by the other Ianto! And other Jack's Ianto said not to do anything, and what does other Ianto do? Goes right up and kisses him! Jack just cheated on Ianto with Ianto! And it was all Ianto's fault!

Alternate-to-this-book Jack led the other Jack and Owen to where he had taken Ianto for ice cream. He led them to the table where he and Ianto had sat. Ianto wasn't there.

This Jack sent a glare at the AU!Jack. If Ianto's dead-

Both Jacks and Owen split up to see if they could find Ianto walking around somewhere close to here. The trio went off in different directions.

AU!Jack got into line. The line was about two or three people long, so the wait wasn't that bad. When Jack got to the front of the line he didn't order anything. "Hey, Ren. The guy I was with. Did you happen to see what direction he went in after I left?"

Ren looked at Jack for a moment and shook his head. "No, sorry. I didn't see which way he went. But he sure looked heart broken." Jack thanked him and continued to search for Ianto.

The search wasn't going at all well. Ianto was no where to be found.

After searching around a bit, this-book Jack began to ask people who were sitting around enjoying ice cream.

"Excuse me. Did you happen to see a probably upset man in a suit walking away from one of these tables?" Jack asked a couple.

The man looked up at Jack from where he sat. "No, sorry, mate. But this is the second time you've asked me. Bad memory or something?"

Jack didn't answer and walked off. It seems the other Jack had the same idea as him. Damn him for thinking of it first.

After about half an hour of searching, the trio regrouped. They each had found nothing. No clues as to where Ianto went off to. It's like he disappeared into thin air or something!

"What's next?" Owen asked the two Jacks.

The two Jacks exchanged a look. "I don't know," they said at the same time.

Ianto seemed to be gone.
