"Thank you so much, Giyuu-senpai!" Tanjiro waved good bye at the other male before going off with Nezuko beside him, trailing farther and farther away from the school gates until they were merely a dot in the horizon.

Giyuu smirked before a frown replaced it, saddened at the fact he couldn't see or even talk to Sabito for the whole day. If he did manage to get a hold of him, the peach-haired male will give a lame excuse and shuffle away from him.

Despite of the fact he's unintentionally breaking his heart into small pieces.

Giyuu's eyes spotted a familiar hair about to leave the school grounds from his peripheral vision, he perked up and ran to him, seizing his wrist from behind.

"Sabito!" He called out, causing said male to turn back, confusion painted on his face.

Giyuu looked down, tears springing from his eyes as he gripped Sabito's wrist, unable to form the words he needed to say. To explain.

"What?" Sabito asked, venom and ice laced in his tone, trying to pull his wrist back but the other male wouldn't budge, his iron grip in a tug of war against the owner.

"Why did you ignore me," Giyuu managed to croak out through fighting back the tears threatening to cascade down his cheeks, asking the peach-haired male. "For the whole day?"

Sabito didn't answer the raven-haired male's question for a few moments. He could hear his own heart shattering into pieces at the sight of him breaking down in front of him, his whole body shivering from the sobs escaping his lips, muffled behind the hand cupped over.

"Why?" Giyuu questioned once again, begging for an answer.

"The reason is lame, to be honest with you." Sabito started, looking away and staring right into Muichirou's eyes who's been watching them from across the street, curious and confused, causing Mui to shuffle away in embarrassment at getting caught.

The raven-haired male hesitantly tilted his head up, eyes still glazed over with tears and stray marks streaking his cheeks, beyond confused and in disbelief.

"I was stupid, I know," The peach-haired male turned on his heel to properly face the other, not minding the loose fingers grasping his wrist. "For getting jealous over your kouhai."

"You're..." Giyuu trailed off, still comprehending Sabito's words previously spewed out of his mouth. "Jealous?"

"Yeah." Sabito sighed out, closing his eyes as his heart suppressed his own sadness at the previous thought of Tanjiro pulling Giyuu away from his hold that he worked so hard for.

Giyuu wiped the tears away with his wrist, a smile (reserved for Sabito and him only) cracked through his facade he built up to cast away the others around him - only letting in a selected bunch - at Sabito's idiocy.

"Why're you so envious at Tanjiro when he only asked me to help him train?" The raven-haired male asked the one in question, a hearty laugh that watered your crops, cleared your pimples, blessed your ears, and made you forget your problems slip past his lips.

"Huh?" Sabito gawked at Giyuu's question, shocked as everything finally clicked into place.

Giyuu stood on his toes to reach the other male's head, softly patting his head with the same smile still gracing his lips, eyes narrowed down in endearment and wonder.

"You're quite stupid, letting that emotion get the best of you." Giyuu's fingers lingered for a few more seconds, tangled in the mess of soft, peach locks before pulling away along with his other hand that loosely grabbed his wrist. "Think, before you jump into conclusions."

Sabito could do nothing but laugh as the duo did their usual, afternoon routine of walking side by side on the same stretch of path they always walk through every day, ties still close after the whole ordeal.

Muichirou, who has been watching the whole scene, could only chuckle as the duo left his vision.
