Chapter 11: Theory or Fact

As Lewis sat in the corner by the window, he wondered how long he had been there. He knows yesterday was when he had the blow-up with Doctor Jenson, but he couldn't remember how long ago the fight was. He can't even remember what he looks like due to how they had no mirrors. He didn't care about any of that though, all he felt at the moment was alone. Chris was still asleep, Lewis didn't blame him, and Sarah was in her personal therapy session.

As Lewis stared out the window, he could hear screaming, he figured it was another one of the patients having a breakdown in their room, but he began to notice it was from the vents again, and it was too quiet to be from a room near him. Trying to figure out who was screaming, Lewis looked around and noticed one of the patients was missing. As he leaned closer to the air vent he couldn't recognize the voice.

"Hey Lewis, what are you doing down there?" said a familiar voice. Lewis looked up to see Chris towering over him.

"Oh hey," Lewis said sitting up, "it's nothing, just thought I heard something."

"Was it screams," the look on Chris' face went blank, "Like a cry for help."

"How did you-"

"We've heard them before." Sarah said walking up from behind Chris.

"Every time someone goes missing, there are screams from the vent," Lewis said standing up, "Somethings not right here."

"I tried asking Doctor Jenson about it, but she just ignored me." Sarah said looking around.

"Same here," Lewis leaned against the wall, "she knows something, I just don't know what."

As Lewis sat in his room thinking, he heard the screams again. He tried to ignore it and go to sleep, but he couldn't avoid the thought of how Doctor Christin threatened him, and how people were disappearing for days then coming back lifeless.
