Slowly sitting up, Lewis notices the room looks different. He wasn't in his bed anymore, but instead on a tile floor. The room was dark except for a single light on the ceiling with a grate surrounding it. The walls were padded and smelled of moss and rot. The whole place looked and felt ancient.
"This has to be a nightmare," Lewis began to panic, "This can't be real." He laid down on the cold tile floor and began to hit his head against it trying to wake up, but it wasn't a dream, it was real. He was locked in a padded cell alone and afraid.
Sitting up to a sudden sound from outside the giant metal door, he ran to the door and started banging on it, "Hello?" he yelled, "Is anyone out there?" but there was no answer. Suddenly the door swung open, nearly knocking Lewis to the floor. Two of the doctors walked in followed by Doctor Christin.
"Hello Lewis," he said with a smile.
"What's going on," Lewis stood up slowly walking backwards away from the doctors who had begun to walk closer to him, "where am I?"
Before Lewis could do anything, one of the doctors had grabbed him in a bear hug, squeezing him tightly, while the other doctor pulled a syringe out of the bag on his hip and slowly injected it into Lewis' left arm.
"All in due time child, all in due time." Doctor Christin said as he sat on the bed next to Lewis, "You see, I've tried to help you," he adjusted his glasses, the smile on his face faded, "But you refuse to listen."
"So what are you gonna do, kill me?" Lewis said slowly. He felt weak, as if all the energy in him was being drained, he tried to stay awake wanting answers though.
"Oh no my child, I made an oath to help people like you." Doctor Christin placed his hand on his chest looking offended, yet he smiled again, "You see, your a special case, you are the first patient to show no progress over the course of four months," he said standing up walking closer to Lewis, "never have I ever had a patient as insubordinate as you," Doctor Christin said as he checked his watch snapping his fingers, "we will talk more later, for now enjoy your stay."
As they opened the door to walk out, Lewis could hear someone screaming in agony and pain for help, a familiar voice, Sarah's voice.
"What are you doing to her," Lewis tried to say, but all that came out were mumbles and groans. When the door closed with a loud bang and click, everything was going dark. Lewis tried to stay awake, but the drugs had taken over, and he soon fell to the floor.
