"We are going to be assigned for our annual school festival." I tapped my finger on my laptop. My stomach started to growl at the start of our weekly assembly. A kids body really need to eat more, I get hungry after just a few minutes of physical activity specially that we ran a lot today because of the rain. I'm drenched and hungry how bad could things get?
"Any suggestions on what you want our class to do?" My eyes lazily shifted to Sehun who was residing the meeting. I looked around the room, Selen, Timothy and Eunwoo were seated beside me. All of them are turning their eyes acting like they're actually thinking of something.
Ugh at this rate I can't eat my rice cake! I am already so hungry that I may develop some ulcer if this continues any longer!
I shot up my hand in mid air.
Sehun nodded his head to signal that I can speak.
"Let's do a play!" I placed my hand down and brought it to my chin lifting it's weight.
"It may be Cinderella, Romeo and Juliet or some other plays you guys want."
"I like that! It will be fun!" Selen seconded until further statements the rest of the members agreed soon after. Sehun had a satisfying look on his face and agreed to make our class activity be a theater play.
"Ok, let's go with that. We will have an online poll tonight of the play the class would want then tomorrow we'll choose the ones who will play which role. It's already late so let's go home. " He closed his laptop and stepped down the podium.
Finally I can go home!
"Sejie, did you tell your parents that you'd go home late?" Eunwoo asked me while I was packing my things.
"I'll give you a ride Sej!" Selen went to me with her small back fixed on her back already with Timothy behind her. Well that was really fast.
I shook my head and showed them my phone.
"I already told them. I'll just call them to pick me up now." The worries in their eyes disappeared and both nodded their head.
"That's good! Sorry but I really got to run, I have somewhere to go immediately!" Her eyebrows raised while smirking. I waved goodbye to her who then dashed out the room with Timothy.
Those two are really inseparable.
I finished packing my things and hung my bag on my back.
"Let's go?" I asked the two who was left behind with me.
I lead the way and made sure that everything was turned off before we left the room. The sky is gloomy with the sound of rain splattering filled the room.
I want to sleep in this weather.
"What play do you like Sejie?" Eunwoo asked.
"Well Cinderella is my favorite."
"Cinderella huh. Don't you think that I fit the role of the Prince Charming too much?" Heol, look at how confident this guy is. I think I just had some major goosebumps, this guy right here gives it to me almost instantly. That's amazing.
"You suit a henchman more than a prince."Sehun retorted.
What?
I pursed my lips and covered my smile.
"A hench- Sehun! Wow Sejie you're so mean, that's why you really fit a villainess in the play!" I shockingly glanced at him.
"How was I mean?!" I even tried to hold my laughter, that's so nice of me!
"Look Eunwoo, we're friends but sometimes I want to push you to a cliff." I tapped his back as I shook my head.
"Sir Eunwoo!" Our attention was on the man dressed in black running to the entrance with a umbrella on his right hand.
"He's so early. I wanted to chat more with both of you." He mumbled. He pouted and turned to Sehun who was saying nothing.
"You're both mean. Let's talk tomorrow I'm mad at you guys." He waves his hand goodbye though even when he was 'mad' at us.
Eunwoo and the man in black entered the car soon after. I sighed in relief and finally got my phone to call someone to pick me up, it was pouring and I don't want to wait any longer freezing.
Let's see, let's call mother...
"Sejeong, let's go." Eh?
I turned to Sehun.
"Hm? I'm still calling mother Sehun." I motioned my phone. He looked at my phone and then back at me, seriously why is a kid's eyes so handsome?
"I called them earlier. They said you'll go with me." Huh? What was that again?
"Ah, that's okay. I might trouble you, I can call again!" I hurriedly dialed mom's phone.
Woman what were you thinking?!
"No, I really insist. Our house of just near yours if you forgot so it won't be a problem." He got my phone and turned it off.
"But." He immediately got an umbrella at the side and opened it. It was big enough for one adult but it's not that spacious for 2 kids. He placed my phone on his pockets and his warm hand went to my shoulder.
"Let's go to the car." He said motioning his eyebrow to the car. There was a man holding an umbrella...
"He looks like he's gonna come here to fetch u-" I wasn't able to finish my sentence when he pulled me closer to him as he forced me to walk to the car. The man in black panicked and immediately ran towards us, Sehun walked faster though.
I was not wet, not a single part of my shoulder or head was wet when we were walking really fast. I didn't lose my balance for a second too, his hands were firmly on my shoulder guiding me to the car.
When the man and us reached midway, he went near Sehun and carried the umbrella over Sehun. The man immediately opened the door for us, Sehun, with his hand he mildly pushed me inside the car.
I fixed myself and checked if my bag was wet, thankfully I was dry all over..well except for my shoes. I turned to Sehun who entered the car, my eyes immediately shifted to his right shoulder which is drenched in water. I looked down to his pants, the right side was also drenched in so much water.
"Now I feel guilty." I told him. He fixed his hair and turned to me as the car turned on the engine and took off.
"Why? I told you it's okay, our house is nea-" I didn't let him finish talking when I rummaged my bag to look for my hand towel, when I got it I moved closer and gently wiped the water on his shoulder. He flinched and cast me a look.
"Don't you know how to use an umbrella?" I asked.
I patted my towel on the side of his face that was wet. His white skin was so flawless, It's really like touching a porcelain.
"You knew it was pouring so hard yet you insisted on bringing me. I was pleased that I was dry but I didn't know you were this...drenched." I continued to scold him. I was stopped when he held my hand stopping me from wiping him. I traced his arm to his face, his eyes met mine and his grip tightened, it didn't hurt but it was warm.
"You're dry and safe. That's all that matters."
I don't know why, but my heart started to ache.
This kid can't hurt a fly.
