Dedicated to Dhreem
Isere changed back into her outfits, she didn't want wear her heels as she wasn't comfortable in them, so she held them in her hands and walked out of the room following the strangers trail.
She was amazed as she looked around the house, it was really beautiful and well decorated. It was a beautiful place indeed with white walls and a bit of grey. The sitting room was bigger than the room she was in but she didn't take a look at it much as he led her outside of his house. She began to ask the stranger random questions.
"What's your name?" She asked.
"Kelvin," he said. What a fine name for a fine man, she thought to herself.
"This is where you stay?" she asked him stuttering.
"Hmm," was his simple reply.
"What do you do?" She asked him. Kelvin chuckled, liking the fact she was curious about him. "I'm a student," he told her. "A 400 level law student in OBAFEMI AWOLOWO UNIVERSITY," he added smirking at her shocked expression.
"Wow!" She muttered.
"Your parents must be rich for you to stay alone in this apartment and still have a maid," she muttered. He just shrugged as he wasn't ready to give much details about himself.
When she got of the house, she was in awe of seeing the surroundings, it was an open space with few flowers, there was a mango tree opposite where two cars were parked under a blue tent; a Toyota Hilux and a Nissan Xterra.
A man at the gate with black trouser and a blue shirt opening the gate.
She hurridely followed Kelvin, he opened the passenger seat of his Nissan Xterra for her as she enter. He closed it as soon as she was settled then moved over to the driver's side. Isere was unsettled, she didn't know why but she was unsettled.
Kelvin, sat down, leaning over to where Isere was and helped her with her seatbelt, their proximity gave her a sudden heartbeat she wasn't familiar with as she held her breath.
Kelvin rested his back, back on his seat, wearing his seatbelt as he ignited the car.
Isere told him her hostel address while driving, Kelvin couldn't help but stare at her fresh laps obviously in display. Her outfit colour was obviously the one a girl would wear to seduce a man and he couldn't help but feel his pants tightening.
Isere was conscious of herself as she placed her hands on her exposed laps, all Kelvin could hear was fuck me please!
"Shit!" Kelvin muttered underneath his breath.
"What did you say?" Isere asked him as she heard him say something but not loud enough.
He shook his head, "nothing."
Isere didn't like the silence between them, so she decided to lighten the mood.
"Thanks so much for last night..." She trailed off, Kelvin patiently waited for her to continue talking.
"Another man in your situation would have taken advantage, why didn't you?" She asked him.
Kelvin chuckled lightly, "it was really hard, trust me," he whispered. He didn't know why he whispered but he did.
"Hmm," she hummed. "Am i not that pretty or sexy? Was that why?" She chuckled lightly.
Kelvin laughed, she didn't know what she was saying and she didn't know his thoughts at all. "Trust me, that wasn't it," he told her.
Isere didn't like the fact he only spoke few words, was this how men were? Coming to think of it, she has never really been with a guy for more than ten minutes before and asides her father, Kelvin was the first.
Her father was a man of few words too. "You are not much of a talker, are you?" She asked him.
It brought a smile to Kevin's face that she kept trying to negotiate and associate with him and he'd love to see her often but what shocked him most was how she got to know the kind of person he was when they've not even spent up to thirty minutes talking.
He chuckled, "hmm," he hummed. Kelvin was a reserved person, he preferred listening than talking and only talks much when he is with his guys, those boys were really demons in man form.
"You are extremely beautiful, too beautiful to be a human being to be precise, i actually thought the moon had fallen from the sky last night," he told her.
His words sent warmth to her and a smile crept up to her face, she blushed hearing his compliments, she has always received compliments from her friends and even people in the church for her astonishing beauty.
There was a time one of her classmate called her ugly and told her if she wasn't light skinned, she wouldn't be pretty, that had agitated her and she almost went into a fist fight with her.
Esther was the one that fought her classmate and called her a jealous twat.
"Thank you," she muttered.
"It's fact though and it took the church part of me not to, with the way you were and how volunerable you were. But..." He trailed off. "I wouldn't do that to any girl, that would make me a useless man."
Isere smiled, whenever she watched film on Esther's phone, she'd see how men took advantage of woman while they were drunk and how women were raped, but for a man like him to respect her and even clean up her mess, he was a complete definition of a gentleman.
"We are here," he alerted.
Isere looked up and found out, he had parked in front of her hostel, she removed her seatbelt and looked at Kelvin, "Thanks so much for last night and driving me back home," she told him with a smile.
"You are welcome, and.." he trailed off.
Isere stopped as she turned back to look at him, "uhm."
"You never told me your name?" He tells her.
"Ohh," she smiled. His voice sent warmth to her, she didn't know but she was at ease talking to him.
"It's Katherine," she told him.
"Pretty name," he said, she couldn't help but admire his dimples when he smiled at her.
"If you don't mind, can...I get...your number?" He stuttered. It was strange for him as he was never nervous while talking to a woman before.
Isere thought for a while if she should give him or not but later gave him, considering he had showed no ulterior motive and was the first man she ever spoke with for a very long time.
"Thanks and safe trip back home," she told him and waited until he drove away before she walked into her hostel.
The strangers name is Kelvin🤔
