"Alexandra..."

I felt myself shifting on the bed.

"Aleeeeexxxxandra......."

A gush of wind kissed my face and I turned in that direction.

"Wake up, child of the light."

I groaned, pressed my lids tighter, "Huh?...What?"

"Wake up, child of the light...you cannot rest when the world is at stake. You cannot sleep when there are beings sent to weep. You cannot..."

"What?! Who is it!" I whimpered, suddenly feeling like a kiln burning inside my body. I forced myself to turn over in hopes of getting up but my lids pressed stubbornly shut as if an otherworldly power was commanding my body.

My bones were was stiff and I began trashing.

I was crying and hearing at the same time.

"Child of light...three you have to find. Three you have to find or else...."

My body was no longer in my control and whoever wanted to display that message had somehow taken over my own body. My own freaking body! I kicked and kept kicking.

My body began shuddering as sweat drenched me. I screamed and screamed. Screamed to let me go. Screamed to let me wake up. Screamed to get control of my body back.

And then suddenly, my eyes popped open and I jerked up into a sitting position. But in front of me, there was something so dangerously grave that my heart stuck within the cavity, no longer supporting me with its steady beat.

There was someone in front of me, eyes like the pyre of sapphire flames. Face veiled inside the hood which that man wore. He was tall, and strong, preternatural and an unforeseen power emanated from him into me. Mist coiled around him along with tendrils of darkness and surrounding him was the river of pitch black with tiny blazing stars. As if he was the night. As if the night was him.

And then he hurled something at me and pain shot inside my body!

When I looked at me chest, a knife was protruding out along with the flood of hot blood which was heaving out of my body. Darkness immediately clouded me as the voice shouted with urgency,

"Find the three, child of the light! Find the three!"

XXXXXXXXXX

I gasped as I shot up from the bed, feeling out of breath.

The sudden surge of morning light from the opened windows nearly blinded me but instead of wincing away, I was rather drawn to it. Tiny flecks of dust and particles flickered in the stream which created a puddle of light on the carpeted floor. The radiance, unbothered by anything at all stayed fixed on its position.

I inhaled three large gulps of air to calm my wild heart. My hand touched the spot where I was hit but instead met with my cold skin.

The nightmare felt...so real. So true...so much like it had happened. Or perhaps is going to.

I recognized the voice immediately in the dream. It was the same ancient tone which spoke the volumes of a celestial origin and oozed the power of absolute control. I knew it was a terrible deed to feel—to not being able to control your own body—to not being able to shove away that intruding force which had taken over. I still shuddered when I remembered my frozen and stiff limbs, no longer mine but belonging to a force beyond which showed me an uncanny nightmare.
