At the White Marsh Police Department, Gibbons and Ford sit with their minds thinking of what to tell their superiors, before Cross approaches the two with coffee.
Ford: Thanks, man.
Ford takes his coffee, before Gibbons, still shaken by A.J's death, takes his. Cross takes a sip of his coffee, nervously tapping his finger on his cup.
Cross: For Christ sakes, Gibbons, would you stop thinking about it? You're gonna give us away....Just, uh...remember what I said....and this'll all blow over fast....Understand? You defended yourself.
A brief moment as Gibbons looks away, before he closes his eyes and nods. He then throws his coffee at the wall.
Gibbons: Fuck!
Gibbons puts his head in his hands as Cross reassures him.
Cross: Mikey...come on. You gotta chill out, okay? You're making scene, bro. Real talk.
Gibbons leans his head back against the wall.
Gibbons: I killed that dude, man.
Ford: Gibbons, lower your voice and get ahold yourself.
Gibbons: Fuck you, man...You didn't see the fear in his eyes...the look on his face...he got his knees and begged me....
Ford: Say "fuck you" again to me and you'll be joining him.
Cross: Both of y'all knock it off.
Gibbons calms down.
Gibbons: I gotta say something, man. I can't live with this on my heart.
Cross: Gibbons...you--
Cross sits down between Gibbons and Ford.
Cross: Both of y'all listen to me, especially you, Mikey. What happened last night. Shouldn't have happened. You made a mistake. One simple fuck up. You don't let one simple fuck up define who you are....alright? Think of this as a movie; You made a mistake....you say who the script says, you keep your job, your keep outta jail...and you move on...this is how you survive as a police officer. That's why when you put on this uniform, you bleed blue. Me, you and Ford, we bleed blue, brother....and you don't sell out your blue brothers...You got it? Mikey....
Gibbons: Yeah, sure.
Cross speaks to Ford.
Cross: What about, man? You gonna bitch out on me?
Ford: No, man. I know what to do. You don't have to tell me twice.
Cross: That's it....you did your job.
Cross stands up, before across from them, a door opens as a African-American homicide detective points at Gibbons.
Quinn: You first, dipshit! Let's go!
Gibbons stands up and enters Quinn's office. As many conversations continue, Ford and Swine make eye contact with Ford giving a look of nervousness and guilt.
