"Yeah, and I was like, 'Where are you going with this' And he just started kissing me. So, that's th- Raelynn!" Stacey stops her sentence to run up to her friend.

"Oh my god, where have you been." Stacey sighs, hugging Raelynn tighter.

"Family problems." Raelynn whispers, looking down at her worn-out sneakers.

"How's nana and your mum?" Stacey asks silently.

"They weren't home this time, thank god." Raelynn tells Stacey.

"And... Jax?"

"He didn't see anything." Raelynn rubs her eyes, breathing in a few more times before walking to her group of friends, sending them the best smile she could muster.

And they buy it, making small talk smoothly.

As always.

-

"We should do something." Noah says, Stacey's head leaning on his shoulder.

"Like what?" Calum, one of Ashton's friends, asks.

"I dunno." Noah shrugs.

Ashton scoots closer to Raelynn, leaning in her ear, "There's some guy staring at you, he's sitting behind us."

Confused, Raelynn turns around, just as the hooded figure looks away.

"I'm going to talk to him," Raelynn whisperes back, standing up and walking towards the mysterious stranger. "Uh, hello." Raelynn smiles, the stranger nodding his head, not looking up at her.

By now she's wishing it would be daylight so she could see the person's face. But it's already dark outside.

"Can I ask your name?" Raelynn asks, sitting on the chair across from the stranger.

Hands come up to uncover the hood, and when he does, Raelynn is shocked to see who it is.

Michael sends her a small smile. Which she gladly returns.

"Hi, Michael, was it?" She asks, trying to sound as polite as possible.

He nods his head, smiling because she remembers his name. No one ever remembered his name.

"My name is Raelynn." She stated the obvious.

Michael grabs a pen and a notepad and writes something down.

Then he shows it to her.

I know.

"Excuse me, but why aren't you talking?" Raelynn asks confused.

Michael writes some more on the page.

Because I cant.

Raelynn gasps, looking at Michael in sadness.

"I am so sorry, I shouldn't have asked. That was extremely rude. I am so sorry." Raelynn rambled, making Michael smile.

No one ever apologized to him.

It's fine. You can stop apologizing now.

Smiling slightly, Raelynn looks back at her group of friends. They're all laughing and having a great time.

But Ashton is watching her and Michael closely.

"Do you want to go somewhere?" Raelynn asks Michael, making him look behind himself then look back at her and pointing at himself as if to say; Me?

Letting out a small laugh, Raelynn nods.

"Yes Michael, you."

I'd love to.

-

Michael pokes Raelynn's arm, moving his hands around.

Where are we going?

"Somewhere amazing. I promise, the veiw is beautiful." Raelynn smiled, continuing their little journey.

But Michael knew that nothing, absolutally nothing, could ever be as beautiful as Raelynn.
