"Hello?" Raelynn says into her phone once it had start to ring.

"Hey, it's Ashton." His voice said.

Raelynn knew he was smiling from the sound of his voice.

"Hey Ashton. What's going on?" She smiled into the phone, sitting down on her bed.

"I, uh, want to go somewhere? Me and you?" Ashton asks her nervously.

"Sure, when?" Raelynn replied.

"Oh, um... at 8pm?"

Raelynn pondered for a minute before replying.

"Tonight at 8:00 it is. Will you pick me up?" Raelnn asks.

"Oh yeah. I'll be there." Ashton replied smoothly.

Raelynn giggled before saying her goodbyes.

"My gosh, I'm sorry for how horrible I look Ashton. I didn't have much time to change, since I had to do chores." Raelynn explained herself, although it was no need.

"Raelynn, what are you talking about? You look amazing." Ashton complimented.

Raelynn blushed and got in Ashton's grey Honda.

"This isn't my car, it's my mum's." Ashton told her.

Raelynn smiled at the thought of Ashton nervously asking his mum for her car.

"It's nice." Raelynn nodded.

"Alright," Ashton breathed out, turnimg on the engine. "Where to?"

Raelynn looks at him confused.

"I don't know."

"Yeah," Ashton sighed. "Me niether."

Raelynn laughed before thinking of something.

"We can go to Mell's. My sister works there, they know me well. Maybe we can even get free food." Raelynn smiled, as Ashton drived to the diner.

"Over my dead body. I'm paying." Ashton insisted.

"So then, she kicks the ball-"

"The brand new one?" Raelynn asked, laughing slightly.

Ashton nodded laughing also.

"And so she kicks it, it goes flying in the air and-and hits the guy she likes" Both Ashton and Raelynn start to laugh. Ashton laughed because it was funny, and Raelynn laughed because it was funny and because Ashton was laughing.

Everything about him is contagous. His smile, laugh, and mood.

"Oh gosh, I would have been so embarrased." Raelynn shook her head smiling.

"Yeah, she was really bummed she didn't get his number." Ashton smiled, finishing up the rest of his food.

They were at the diner, talking about funny stories they had.

"Okay, well, tell your sister she's a very strong person." Raelynn laughed, getting ready to stand.

"Check, please." Ashton waved over to the waitress.

After paying and saying their goodbyes to Mell, the owner of the diner, they decide to walk for a while before heading home.

"Tonight was so much fun." Raelynn smiled.

"Yeah, it was." Ashton nodded.

There's a minute of comfortable silence until Ashton breaks it.

"Was this a date? Or, do you- like, count it as a date?" He stumbled with his words, nervous of asking.

"Yes Ashton. I would count this astonishing day as a date."

Raelynn stopped walking once she noticed Ashton had. He grabbed her hands and looked her deeply in her soft brown eyes.

"I like you, Raelynn. A lot."Ashton whispered, stepping closer to her.

"Ashton," Raelynn started but Ashton stopped her.

"I know you might not like me back, which is totally fine. But I just need to know." Ashton pleaded, leaning in closer.

He kept leaning in closer and closer until finally, their lips met.
