Six chocolates.

Four down.

Two more to go.

Two more places crossed out.

Tired from all the searching, Ash went back to her room.

"All the chocolates and I couldn't even enjoy one." she eyed the box angrily. Sitting down on her bed she sighed heavily hugging her knees "I liked being immortal, that son of bi-"

"Hey uhhh Ashleyyyyy?" a girl called through the door "I need help with my Magicore assignment, can you like help or something?"

"-tch I swear to god I hate this place." she got up and opened her door "here" she handed the girl the completed assignment "please please don't annoy me."

"Awww thanks girl" the girl took the assignment from her but as she was leaving her eyes fell on the box of the energy-finding chocolates. "Hey Ashleyyy, sharing is caring" and went to grab a bite "no no NO NO" she tried to pull the girl out of the way. But the girl stopped "Like for real, these are seriously just chocolates. Chill out" and she popped one into her mouth.

"Yeah I shared and cared" Ash said pointing at the assignment in the girl's hands, temper rising inside her. "Now leave before I change my mind about sharing that assignment too"

The girl gave off a small, offended laugh "I don't want it anyways, I can take someone else's" she handed back Ash's assignment to her roughly "have fun being lonely" she turned and left the room slamming the door behind her.

Ash opened the box. One piece. "He's gonna kill me". She looked at the clock. 7.30pm. "I'm gonna die." She sighed and opened her blueprint, scanning it, wishing that the spell would walk in through her bedroom door like a superhero. She had around seven more places left to search. "I'll never make it in time, also why do these chocolates only work for me?" she looked at the box then suddenly laughed. An image of an army of tiny middle controlled people with chocolate smeared on their faces looking for the spell while people ran around in confusion crossed through her mind. She looked at the last piece "I might as well enjoy whatever is left of this" she took the chocolate in her hand. "I'm not gonna find the spell anyways" she put the last piece into her mouth and let it sit there,  she realized that in the hurry and panic of finding the spell she'd never really paid much attention to the joy that the chocolate had to offer.

Warmth. Coziness. She smiled to herself. Indulging in the taste but mostly because it felt comfortable and very secure. She went to her cabinet humming softly to herself, and grabbed a book. Not a school book but a story book. She'd been sent here to learn whatever magic she could and to find a spell that could destroy powerful magicians, very very powerful magicians and that's exactly what she had done for the past three years of her life. Studied and searched and searched and studied. She was tired. She cuddled up with her book, the first (and probably the last) piece of chocolate steadily melting in her mouth.

Three pages in she looked up at the clock. 8.15pm. "God its like a countdown for death". She got up to keep the book back in its cabinet, when her eyes fell on glowing red source of light behind the cabinet. Then it died away. "Guess time's up, might as well search my own room once" and she went back to her old methods of spell finding. Ash didn't have a talent, so she was tired very often. She had to use her energy sources to draw up spells. Drawing a circle around herself with a chalk, she sat down. A very weird sense of intuition playing inside her head. A mellow chanting filled the room.

Ash's eyes were shut. 9.30pm.

A storm was approaching the Wellshire campus. 10.25pm.

Suddenly the cabinet crashed. The whole floor came running to ensure whether everything was okay. "It's fine, I'm fine" Ash basically shooed the gathering crowd out of her room. "What was that?" a guy asked peeking over her shoulder into her room. "Oh nothing, I was trying to shift my cabinet and one of the shelves fell, EVERYTHING IS OKAY" she screamed to the people at the back. The people finally started to comprehend that it might not be that serious a situation and one by one everyone began to leave.

Just as Ash was closing her door someone said "You don't need to make a scene like that for attention sweety." Ash was slightly taken aback it, was the girl who wanted her assignment "I-". "Oh please Ashley dah-ling, I can see right through you, you want attention, it's just that no one is willing to give it to you hon" the girl patted her on her shoulder and was about to leave when Ash said "Hey um Melisa, maybe, just maybe, if you'd stop being such a bitch to the people around you and actually start paying attention in class. You wouldn't necessarily have to swallow your ego, hurt your pride and go begging for assignments. Also just for the record my cabinet did fall, but considering the conclusion you came up with leads me to think its something that you would do to get a few eyes on yourself don't you think, hon?"

The girl named Melisa gave off a small laugh and turned to face Ash, her eyes shooting daggers. "I don't know, just a thought" Ash added.

"Also Petra. My name is Petra."

Petra slammed her door shut.
