"How was the mating party?", Noah wanted to know instantly when I stepped into Faith's house.
I smirked, because it was already after midnight, but still the kids were wide awake. It should not have suprised me, because due to children under 13 not being allowed at the mating ceremony, as there was blood exchange and lots of kissing, all the kids, who's parents had attended the ceremony had ended up at Faith's. She and a few other pack members had taken care of all the kids during the ceremony.
"It was beautiful.", I told them dreamly and remembered the moment when Levin and Oliver had been introduced as mates. They had not been able to look at someone other than their mate and I could feel the love and longing that seemed now even stronger. I blushed, because I knew that they could finally complete the mating process tonight.
For Silas and Milena it was different, because Milena would leave the Crescent Moon pack to follow Silas. In the Mercy pack we did have a mating ceremony, but it was tradtition that you had already completed the mating process by then. Something about the blood exchange after already having been marked making you stronger was the reason for that.
So I totally counted on having two fully mated couples with me tomorrow when we would leave to find Daria.
After seeing Levin's and Oliver's celebration of love tonight I longed even more for my mate. I had tried to distract myself every time when I thought of Nathan, because there was a possibility that we would not find him. However, since I had met Daria and she told me she would help I could not find it in me to bury the longing for Nathan.
"I bet it was really gross, with kissing and all that.", Noah responded and his face morphed into a disgusted one.
I winked at him to confirm his suspicion and he squeezed his eyes shut.
"Glad I wasn't there.", Noah said relieved.
I laughed at his antic, but for me it had been a magical night as well. I had talked, laughed and even danced with a lot of pack members and it seemed to me that they had taken a liking to me, which made me smile continuously through the night. Finally I was liked.
My wolf happily waggled her tail in my mind finally content with our life.
"Will you stay the night?", Noah asked me hopefully with puppy eyes.
I tussled his hair, because there was no way I would stay in the pack house when probably two matings would be completed.
"Yeeeesss!" He pumped his fist into the air.
"Did you tell him that you're leaving tomorrow?", Faith gently wanted to know after Noah had joined his friends again.
I turned my head to see a soft smile on her lips and shook my head sighingly, because I knew I had to tell Noah and the other kids that I would not be around for some time.
Yesterday after I had been released from the hospital Silas wanted me to rest, but luckily Lennart and Levke had other plans. They had been worried about me too, especially Levke, who had cried when she saw for herself that I was alright. I had been moved to tears, because so many people had been concerned about me. Finally I knew what it meant to be loved.
I then told them about Daria and although Lennart had doubts concerning my visit at her cottage he still wanted us to go check it out.
"If there's someone who can help us find Nathan, it's her!", he had said in a strong voice.
When I was alone in my room again supposed to rest, Sia came by. I was more than glad to see for myself that she was alright, but I instantly noticed her worried eyes and realized she felt guilty. Before she could apologize I told her everything that had happened to me after I had touched her and thanked her for it. Surprised Sia had looked at me and I told her that we would probably have no clue if not for her.
