23rd July 2019

Jade sat on a bench in the park Harry had asked her to meet. It is currently 10 minutes past 2, and they had agreed to meet at 2, meaning Harry is late to meet her. Jade fanned herself with her hands and pushed her sunglasses upwards, cursing herself for wearing her parka despite the weather being so hot she could probably melt.

Jade observed her surroundings. Being a Tuesday, there wasn't a lot of people in the park, saved for some elderly who was exercising and a few teenagers who are hanging out with their friends. The sun glared at Jade, making her sigh for the umpteenth time since she had reached. She is so tempted to buy ice cream from the ice cream truck but stopped herself when she remembers she's supposed to be looking after her figure since touring is starting soon.

"Hey, I am sorry," Harry walked over to Jade and apologized after seeing her annoyed face.

Jade stared at Harry who just like her, was donning a pair of big sunglasses that almost covered his whole face. His curly hair was messily draped over his head and he wore a tight-fitted shirt paired with a pair of khaki shorts.

At least he's dressed for the weather, Jade thought.

"What's with you guys always being late huh?" Jade remarked.

Harry smiled sheepishly, "Sorry."

"Whatever. What do want to show me?" Jade crossed her arms.

"Right, come on," Harry signalled Jade to follow him. He leads her to the part of the park she had never walked before, and she understands why she's never been there. It is one of the deepest parts of the park and no one was around. They walked a little further up and Jade was greeted by a beautiful view. A man-made pond greeted her, a willow tree perched right beside it.

"Wow. How did you find this place?" Jade commended.

"I hired people to built it."

"What?"

Harry said nothing but dragged Jade to a spot beside the tree where a plaque was intricated on a cemented floor.

In Memory Of

Noah James Styles

Jade's eyes watered when she read the name of the plaque.

"I had it built when, you know," Harry explained, "Today is supposed to be his day."

"I know," Jade whispered, her hands trailing over the writing on the plaque.

"Thank you, for this," Jade sobbed and threw her hands over his neck, "I'm pretty sure he's happy."

"How would you know that?"

"Mother's instinct," Jade smiled as, at that moment, they are sure everything will be alright.

June 2015

Then

Jade glared at the three girls who were busy talking to their boyfriends.

So much for girls' night out, Jade grumbled.

Little Mix had just released their latest single Black Magic which rose to the charts right after it was released. The song proved to be a great hit as it even dominated the US charts. Due to the surge of popularity, Little Mix was now fully booked for radio promotions, interviews and guest appearances. The girls had just finished an event in the US and had decided to call it a girls' night since they had the next day off.
