Harry checked his phone and let out a despondent sigh for the nth time in an hour. His phone chimed indicating that a message has come through and his eyes brightened for a while. His face fell again when it isn't from the one he has been missing.
"What's gotten our birthday boy so depressed?" Louis tousled Harry's curly hair.
Liam sat beside Harry and peered at his phone, snickering when his screen is showing a picture Harry and Jade had taken together in the airport. "You've got it bad, huh?" Liam teased. "When was the last time you saw her anyway?"
"Her birthday," Harry muttered. It's been two months since they've seen each other. Two months. Sure, they do Facetime often but Harry misses her presence around him. He misses her touch.
"Told you, you should have followed me to Belgium two weeks ago," Liam mocked, causing the younger guy to groan.
Two weeks ago, Liam had asked Harry if he wanted to attend Little Mix's concert in Brazil. Harry wanted to go and was so excited until he got a call from Niall who had accidentally erased Harry's part on the recording mix. Hence, Harry had to stay back and re-record while the other three guys went to enjoy the concert, Liam even rubbing in his face that he has reunited with Jesy.
"I can't forget Jade's face that night. She looked pleased when she saw us and almost burst in tears when she realised you weren't there," Niall shuddered visibly at the memory of Jade almost crying in front of them.
"And whose fault is that?" Harry grumbled at the blond member.
"Sorry man," Niall placed a hand on Harry's shoulder. "At least y'all had wild Facetime sex that night."
Harry grunted again when he brought that topic up.
"Anyway, did Jesy reply to you?" Harry asked Liam who was now preoccupied with his phone.
"Yeah, they're having fun in New York." Liam shoved his phone to Harry's face, showing a picture of the Little Mix members posing at the Empire State Building. Harry focused on the girl in the middle of the picture, a huge beam on her face. He scoffed when he sees her face, as though she's forgotten she has a boyfriend on the other side of America.
"Why? Jade's ignoring you?" Niall asked. "She replied to me an hour ago though." Harry grabbed Niall's unlocked phone and went through his text message because what is privacy? His mood soured more when he sees that her last message to Niall was at 10.58 a.m. saying, "Miss you guys too xx".
Harry grabbed his phone and dialled the number he's ever-so-familiar with. As expected, he was directed to voicemail.
"They're vacationing after months of touring, maybe she's just having too much fun," Louis tried to console him, simultaneously glaring at the other two for rubbing salt into Harry's wound.
"We didn't fight, I don't get why she's ignoring me. Did she find a New York hunk, that's why?"
"Come on, let's not overthink. It's Jade for god's sake. She's the most loyal person ever, I don't think she has it inside of her to cheat," Liam defended.
"Think of your party instead. I heard Jeffrey managed to book the biggest club in LA?" Louis stirred away from the topic.
"Yeah, I was too lazy to plan though. I let him took control of everything, including the guests." As Harry said this, he felt regretful not telling Jeffrey that some guests are out of bounds. He only hoped that his manager is smart enough to figure it out by himself.
