42 | His Downfall

Tarantang pabalik-balik ng lakad si DeVonte. He mumbled to himself, "Where's Noir and the others? Why aren't they here?"

Tanging si Symon lang ang kasama niya. "Relax, tito. For sure busy lang sila dahil sa mga pinapagawa mo," he chuckled.

He glared at his niece and Symon jokingly surrendered with his arms up. "Well, anyways, I'm leaving. I need to visit your daughter at the hospital," Symon was about to go when DeVonte held him back.

"What?! Why?! Who hurt my daughter?!"

"Geez, old man! You did. Dinamay mo ang sarili mong anak sa gulo na 'to, and now you're acting innocent? Be careful, tito. Who knows how fast karma could come? Baka mamaya niyan nasa kulungan ka na pala," Symon laughed as he walked away.

SYMON

That Noir, does he really think I wouldn't know his plan? I need to get out of here, baka madamay pa ako sa gulong 'to.

Well, it's not like I'm really involved with his crimes. All I did was to ask for his help, I wanted to be strong. Strong enough to be with Death.

Nakakainis lang dahil hindi pa rin niya ako pinili kahit mas malakas pa ako kay Axel Wilson. Ano bang meron siya na wala ako? I'm no longer the nerd that I used to be.

I've spent years training and being loyal to her despite everything. Tapos malalaman ko na lang na may bago na siya? I still can't believe she easily forgave both her best friend and her ex.

It doesn't matter anymore. I don't even know what really happened. All I know is I've wronged her. I made her look like a fool in front of everyone. I made her the bad guy, just to satisfy myself from being rejected multiple times.

Once I take Tiffany out of this mess, we'll be leaving this country. We only have each other now. My parents are gone because of that old man. I'll no longer try to put up with him anymore. He has lost his mind. Unlike D, he was someone who didn't even have a dark side, yet has killed so many people.

"Well, she hit her head hard. She's no longer in a critical condition, however, when she wakes up, she may suffer from amnesia. It's best that you don't force her to remember something, otherwise it will hurt her even more."

Alright. This is better, she'll have to live a new life with me. Buti na lang at nag-iwan ng pera sa akin ang mga magulang ko bago sila pumanaw. I can make a living with my cousin and treat her as if she's my own sister.

DEATH

It's finally happening. Three days ago, we contacted and gathered all the UNDRGRND folks just for this moment. I still can't believe that the people there weren't ordinary. They all have their own companies or businesses, the higher their rank, the wealthier they are. That just means that the Vilches are on top of the pyramid.
