"Rosalynn!, didnt i tell you to wash out these dishes"? I asked my 18 year old daughter.
"Yes, but i;m 18 now..you cant tell me what to do anymore..better yet, i'm out" She spat.
"Where do you think your going'? I asked her.
"I'm moving in with Brian"
"Um..no your not"
"Yes i am, you got to move out when you were eighteen!"
"But not with a guy..what if he throws you out?..you wont have any where to go"
"Then i'll stay with lisa"
"Do you really think that Lisa mother would approve of you staying"?
"OMG mom, why do you gotta make things so complicated"?
"I'm not, i'm just telling you the facts"
"Okay, fine..i'll get the dishes" She mumbled.
I smiled.
"Thank you, daughter, and once your done rememeber that were going tovisit your G mom and Aunt in Covington so i want you to pack"
"WHYYYY"?
"Because its christmas and they havent seen you since you were twelve"
"BUT GOOSHHH"!
"sTOP, DISHES AND PACK!"
"fine"
