Ever since Kwon Minjoo was a little girl, she'd had a sense for adventure. Whether that be traveling around South Korea with her family, or reading about places overseas in books. Majority of the girls adventures was her exploring the city and forest around her home, though most of her adventures would usually end with the girl being sweaty, covered in mud and her body being littered with cute and scrapes.

Another thing, the girl was a magnet for fights and bad situations, coming home multiple times with her clothes ripped and with detentions for hurting her classmates. Though she never once apologised, Minjoo didn't see a reason too. The only times she got involved in a fight was when she saw someone bullying someone else, and in her school that just seemed to happen a lot. She knew violence wasn't the best thing to resort too, but she also knew those bullies wouldn't respond to anything else.

Though throughout Minjoo's whole childhood, there was only one thing that really captured the girls attention. And that was seeing the men in her life go off to serve their time in the military. Her father and grandfathers had done their service before she was born while her older brothers, Minho and Min-hyuk both served their time when Minjoo was fourteen.

One thing that the girl had always wondered was why the women of Korea weren't called on or asked to serve. Though she never ended up getting a solid answer, because no one really knew for sure. It was just something that didn't happen. So, when Minjoo graduated from high school, she decided to enlist.

At first her family and friends were hesitant on her decision. Most were scared for the girl, hoping that she wouldn't end up hurt and wishing her to not leave the country for long periods of time. While the other half just thought this was a pipe dream and she'd return from the army in a few weeks.

Through the years, Minjoo was able to quickly move up the ranks, honing her skills in weapons training, hand-to-hand combat and infiltration "missions" as she did. After a few years, Minjoo was able to land herself a spot on the Alpha Team, commanded by Captain Yoo Shi-jin and that has been her status and rank in the South Korean Special Forces for the past three years of her seven years of service.

After one of the Alpha Teams latest and more successful missions, the team becomes temporarily disbanded as there is no use for them at that time, and all six of them are sent to Uruk to be apart of the Taebak Unit who had situated themselves on the island. Though during the months that Minjoo is stationed in Uruk, her life gets a little hectic.

From earthquakes to hostage situations, pandemics and multiple near death experiences, Minjoo starts to think she chose the wrong base to be stationed in, but she's somehow able to control her life enough to make some sense of it.
