<<<<<<<•>>>>>>>Life always has a way of hurling things at you that you least expect. Maybe it rains and you don't have an umbrella, maybe you miss your bus or spill coffee on you favourite shirt,
Or maybe you shipped off on assignment to an island and in the span of a month, have an earthquake that results in a near death experience, almost be infected with a deadly virus, have a bomb strapped to your chest and have all your new friends leave back home where you're itching to go back to.
It wasn't like Minjoo was trying to complain, she did sing herself up for this life. And don't get her wrong, the girl loved the life she made for herself. It's just sometimes she needed a break, sometimes Minjoo needed to pause the rest of the world and relax for a minute,
So that's how the slider found herself fin on one of the men's dorms, her laying on Gibeom's bed with a fruity smelling sheet mask on her face, one form her personal stash.
Many on base had wondered how shed wake up with smooth skin after such a long b=night of work, much like after the clean up from the earthquake. The girl had shrugged the questions off with the "I was asleep as soon as I laid down" excuse, to which they all believed.
It wasn't until one night where Minji was complaining about running out of her own supply did Minjoo have both the younger nurse, Ja-ae and Moyeon sneak up to her room to all do one, Myeongju even joining in after some persuading, did they realise her secret.
"I didn't think you'd have these." Ja-ae off handedly mentioned as she read the backs of one of the sachets, her looking up to see Minjoo helping Minji pat hers down around her eyes.
"And why's that?" Said girl asked as she gave Minji a quick smile before opening her own packet. "Because I don't act like a typical girl?"
"You do." Minji spoke up as she smoothed the excess gel into her neck, the nurse not even looking at the four women who shared a confused look. "You just don't show it very often."
"She speaks the truth." Myeongju spoke after a few seconds of silence, her leaning back on the bed frame as she only had the under eyes masks on.
"That, and these are expensive." Ja-ae added onto what both Minjoo and Minji has pointed out, her now tearing open her own mask as Minjoo patted her own down. "I know a soldier pays well, but even I can't afford these."
So when Minjoo had practically came skipping into the men's dorm, her pulling a rather confused Daeyoung, Lim and Choi with her as she held a rather big cardboard box, all the men were confused. It wasn't until she placed the box on the bed, her opening it up to reveal multiple different types of masks, some full face, some under eye, some nose, charcoal, hydra sting, etc. everything fell into place.
Minjoo had let them all choose two or three different masks each and chalked up her generosity in a snarky comment to be "If you all came home to me looking like this, I'd want you to go back."
They all knew that Minjoo was trying to be nice, her usually covering up her more feminine side with snark and slight angst, so as they watched her go around to each of them and gently help them apply the delicate masks it warmed their hearts to see her doing something so domestically feminine.
"I can't believe you hid these from us." Gibeom had commented as she helped apply his, the boys eyes closed in relaxations as her skilled fingers ran along his under eye before running down his cheeks.
