Life in the Taebaek Base was hardly boring, there was always some new rumour or story being spread around, a new event or person popping up unplanned, or just people betting what was for dinner that night. It was fun, but Minjoo eventually found it tiring. Sometimes she just needed an escape from the abnormal, and the best way she found it was talking with her friends.

This time she found herself in the Medi Cube, wanting to visit the boy who she saved during the earthquake. Minjoo still didn't know his name, and she doubted he knew hers, but she thought a check up was in order. So there she was, knocking on the wall of the room he was in.

"Hello, I'm Minjoo." She smiled to the boy, watching his head lift from where he was staring at his hands.

Her eyes scanned over the boy as she searched for him injuries. He had changed into the custom pyjamas that that Medi Cube had stored away to give to patients, the white base with green leaves and flowers set being something that Minjoo had declined wearing when she was admitted. He had a small bandage along his forehead, much like the one Minjoo had not a few days ago, and his wrist seemed so be bandaged up as well.

"You're the soldier who saved me." He said with wide eyes, it coming out more as a statement then a question.

"Well, tried to anyways." Minjoo chuckled as she walked closer, her hands fidgeting in front of her.

If Minjoo remembered the situation correctly, which she hoped she did, she had tried to save the boy. An after shock stopping her plan dead in its tracks and trapping her under concrete. Shijin and Daeyoung were the ones who saved them.

"You were the one who found me, you stayed." He affirmed with nod, noticing how Minjoo was playing down her role in his rescue. "Unlike the other guy."

"Who, the doctor?" Minjoo asked as she pulled one of the stools in the room closer to the bed, receiving a short nod in response. "He was just scared, you can't blame him." She continued once she sat down.

Minjoo knew that Chihoon had left them in the building when the after shock hit, Ja-as having told the girl when she'd asked if he was okay. As she was unconscious when Chihoon had left she didn't know how bad the situation was, and if it indeed warranted him running away. But when any bad thought about the situation entered her mind, she quickly reminded herself that Chihoon wasn't a soldier. He was a doctor placed in a situation where he could of been hurt, and any reasonable person would of left.

Unfortunately the young doctor and soldier hadn't talked to each other since the earthquake, Chihoon always managing to sneak away whenever Minjoo was around. He blamed himself for leaving the two behind, he felt responsible for the injuries they had gotten. It was easy for him to help the boy, he was a doctor after all it was his job so take care of him. But Minjoo was his friend, and to see her laying in a hospital bed for what he thought was his fault almost broke the boy.

"Yeah, but you stayed." The boy mumbled as if he had been scolded by an older sister.

"It's my job to stay." Minjoo said with a small smile, trying to reason with the younger boy. "I pull you from danger, he fixes you."

"Why are you defending him? He left us for dead." The boy argued, not understanding why Minjoo was sticking up for him. They might be friends, but friends wouldn't leave the other for dead.
