It took just over an hour to get back to the Base, and when Minjoo was being driven through the mountains she got to see the full scale of damage that the earthquakes and aftershocks did to Uruk. It seemed as though the nearest town had nearly been levelled, telephone lines had been ripped down and trees had been uprooted. The barracks seemed to be in better condition but was still a mess that would take the next few days or weeks to clean.

When the girl was carried inside the Medi Cube by Lim who had decided to take the ride back with her, she was greeted by members of the medical team and a few soldiers who were more than relieved to see that the girl was okay. Injured, but okay. Minjoo too could let out a breath of relief when she saw that no one was seriously hurt.

Lim placed her down on one of the gurneys next to a few of her fellow soldiers, telling her he'd be back later before walking off to go help clean up. Before he left, he'd stolen a pillow from another bed and gently placed it under her left ankle, making sure to elevate it.

As soon as Lim left Ja-ae had entered the small room, stopping in her tracks when she saw Minjoo laying in one of the beds. She quickly backtracked, walking over to one of the shelves and taking a small box from it and then rushing over to the girl, her eyes roaming over the girls body.

"Are you okay?" She asked as she pulled a small chair over and taking a seat next to the bed. "We heard what happened." Ja-ae continued, silently motioning to her radio.

"I'm okay." Minjoo said, though she couldn't lie for long when a shock of pain came from her ankle, silently telling her to stop lying.

"Yeah, sure." Ja-ae replied sarcastically with a knowing look on her face. Over the last two weeks of being on the island, the older woman had picked up on many of Minjoo's habits. One of them was her habit of denying or deflecting the severity of her injuries along with being very independent when an issue of the same category arose.

Ja-ae hummed as she pulled a clean role of gauze and splint tape out from the box in her hand before she placed it down onto the bed. She gently rolled her chair down to Minjoo's ankle and lifted it off of the pillow slightly, being cautious of the girls small whimpers.

The elder had started to unwrap the surprisingly well executed splint that Shijin had done, wincing when she saw the blue and purple bruises that were forming along the ankle bone. There wasn't much that Ja-ae could do for the girl, only being able to
re-bandage the girls ankle and place an ice pack on it.

And that's what she did. Ja-ae had left Minjoo in the small bed with an ice pack and a pillow under her foot, ignoring the annoyed groan she had gotten from Minjoo when she walked off, a small smile forming on her lips when she realised that Minjoo actually liked her company, even if it was medical attention.

Minjoo stayed another two days in the Medi Cube before she managed to persuade Ja-ae into letting her move back to her own room, the elder only agreeing because Minjoo's roommate was a medic and just a protective over the younger girl as she was. The relationship between Minjoo and Ja-as had grown in those three days, the elder becoming more caring and protective over the 24 year old. It was an interesting little friendship, one not opposed by either of the women.

The same thing could be said about the other three doctors. When the five first officially introduced each other on the day the doctors arrived, they all thought it would be one of those friendships that only lasted in a specific place, so one that would only work in the bounds of Uruk. But when they all sat down and talked that night, they were all pleasantly surprised that that wasn't the case. So now Minjoo had more overbearing and protective people in her life, not that she was complaining.
