Jo's POV
A few hours later at the meeting...

So many things are running through my head. I can't believe what I've done, but the past 28 or so hours have been... insane to say the least.

Hero's holding my hand, keeping me close enough to make me feel safe. He's the one who thinks we should do the premiere tonight... not after everything.

"I mean look at her, no one would know." One of the production people say, which makes me squeeze Hero's hand. He looks up at Andrew, kinda begging with a look to help. We're the only two sitting, and everyone else is standing. Yelling about something that didn't happen to them. Just because I can act like I'm okay doesn't mean that I am.

"Are you kidding me Logan? She just got..." Hero hits Andrews arm and I look up at him. "Sorry..." he says softly and I nod.

They keep going back and forth and it gets to the point where I roll my eyes and stand up. "Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey!" I yell over everyone. Hero looks up at me, I know he doesn't want me to do this but I have too...

"You're all arguing about something you know nothing about. I mean come on... do you even care about what I think? I'm the one who had to live through it, not you! You didn't have a guy chasing after you in the streets is Chicago. The streets he knows! Do any of you even know the story? About how he drugged me, brought me back to his apartment and raped me. Right on his bed, he kept going and wouldn't- and he just wouldn't stop." Tears run down my face as I'm yelling at them. Hero stands up, wrapping his arms around me but I push him off a bit.

"Don't make decisions for other people... okay? Don't make decisions for people when you don't even know the entire story. I'm going to the premiere, and I'll keep Hero close. You all can fight amongst yourself if you want, but I'm leaving." I say and grab my bag, and walk out.

I obviously hear a few people behind me, which shocks me a bit because I thought I'd only hear one person. I press the elevator button and wait, turning around and looking at Hero when touches my arm. "Are you coming with me...?" I ask softly and he nods. "Yeah, yeah obviously."

"Josephine Langford, what the hell was that?!" I hear the annoying voice of Melody speaking. I roll my eyes, and turn to her because she's on the other side of me. "What?" I ask, clearly annoyed.

"You can't just do that to those people, so you're gonna go in there and apologize and sit through the rest of that damn meeting." She says and I watch Hero flair up.

I hold him back, if I can take a sexually frustrated man, I can take this bitch. "No, I'm not." I say simply and watch the elevator open and then close again. Now she's the one flaring up. "I'm not going back in there, there's no reason for me too. I've said everything I've had too and that's it." I say and hit the button again.

"Jo I swear if you don't go in there-" I cut her off, not in the mood for her bullshit. "Have you ever been raped?" I ask her and she stares at me. "Jo..." Hero says softly. "You know, I'll take that as a no, so you don't get a say in what I do. Neither do all of those narcissistic men. So just let it be, okay?" I say and pull Hero into the elevator, not wanting to be there anymore.

The doors close, and I slump against Hero. He holds me close and kisses my head. "You know that was really sexy, telling all of them off." He chuckles, and so do I as I hit his arm playfully. "I'm sick of people telling me what's best for me..." I look up to see a slight frown on his face. "Except for you obviously," I say softly, giving him a smile.

Hero's POV
A little while later...

"Jo, we're gonna be late," I laugh a bit and I hear her laugh. "Give me three more minutes," she says and I shake my head. Right as I'm about to go into the bathroom she comes out. She's wearing a beautiful dress, it's tight, and it's bright white. "Woah..." I say softly and pull her closer. "Melody wouldn't let me change my outfit, I wanted to wear something lose but... I guess not."

She's clearly uncomfortable, and it hurts me. "We should..." I don't even finish before she nods, taking my hand and bringing us downstairs.

I wish Melody wasn't such a bitch. Jo obviously isn't feeling good in this dress, she should've worn this last, not first.

We're in the limo now, and she's quiet, too quiet. "Babe..." I say and she leans her arm on me, clearly not caring that it can mess up her hair. "I don't wanna be in this dress anymore, I wanna go back..." she says and right as I'm about to tell the driver to turn back she stops me. "I made a big deal about it being my choice... and I have to go..." she say and I kiss her.

"I'm gonna keep you safe. No one is gonna hurt you." I say and squeeze her hand. I wouldn't let her get hurt. I wouldn't let anything happen to her, not again.

Jo's POV
After the movie is shown...

Everyone enjoyed the movie, which makes me extremely happy. All the hard work we've done is being praised, so that obviously feels good.

I smile at Hero, it's a real one too. I've put on a fake smile most of the night but not right now. Right now it's real. We're in an area where not many people can see us, so he kisses me. "You know it sucks, not being able to show you off." I giggle as he kisses my neck. "Babe, we can do more of that after I go to the bathroom." I giggle a little more and lean up, softly pecking him in the lips.

I go into the bathroom and unzip this annoying dress. It's tight in all the right places, yet clingy in all the wrong ones.

After using the bathroom and zipping the dress back up. I walk out of the stall, only to see a face I wished and prayed I'd never see again.

Jason.
