Oh, Heavenly Father, look at what we've done
We've crucified your son
Salvation was in the blood that he shed
But still we live as if we're better off dead
He was charged with our transgressions
He had no aggression
No earthly king should have luxurious crowns when all He got were thorns
Forgiveness was assured when the King of Kings was born
If only we had taken responsibility for our faults
There would have been a better result
For some reason, we humans deny You out of envy
He delivered us from a punishment that was ever so heavy
When He conquered death, we were proven guilty
We haven't earned your grace because we are very filthy
He died for us to return to You with our hearts and souls pure
Yet when it comes to giving You your credit, we are unsure
