Five weeks I waited. I dreaded the moments until Puddin's phone call. I decided to spend my time not worrying about my sorrows, but my talents. I've always wondered what I would've been if I hadn't gone down the psychiatrist route. Maybe a gymnast, a real doctor or nurse, a lawyer, anything. I looked at myself in the mirror. Would I look good in a ponytail or pigtails? I remember thinking. I tested my makeup with colors of pinks and blues and purples. I then gave up and washed it off. I braided my hair and exited the bathroom. I decided to sit down and watch the news. As I sat down on the couch, the doorbell to my apartment rang. I wonder who that could be... I continued my way towards the door and opened it. There stood Joker. I folded my arms. I was livid.
"Don't be mad, Harls." Joker pouted.
"Shut up,"
"Ouch. I meant to call."
"Right." I rolled my eyes.
"As I was saying, the deal is off."
"What?" I unfolded my arms and dropped my mouth open.
"I don't need you anymore."
"That can't be. I killed the mayor for you. I risked my life for nothing?"
"Ding ding ding, Harley." He said booping his own nose three times.
"I-"
"No need to speak more, while the less, you let me escape Arkham, so I just wanted to say, thank you." He grinned, "Have a good night, ta ta!" He said as he turned and walked away.
I stood in the door frame in shock.

Now at this moment, you're going to be blown away as I tell this part of the story. You're going to be lifted from surface of where you sit and say "GO HARLEY!" as I tell you how I stood up to Mr. J.
Okay, here goes.
I was heading my way towards the best diner in Gotham. Sal's Diner. Yum! I had my hopes on the infamous egg sandwich he always makes especially for me. As I stepped on that parking lot, I noticed a familiar purple Lamborghini. Joker's Lamborghini. I was about to step up and be a bigger person. Until I heard him exiting the doors in laughter. I hid behind a dumpster nearby. Blech! I watched as he stepped into his car and revved the engine as he pulled out of the parking lot. I hurried over to the nearest vehicle I found, a motorcycle, and followed Joker.
As I followed his Lambo amongst the highway, I wondered what I would say as soon as I caught up to him. I caught up just enough to be right on his back bumper. I shouted his name and moved towards the window on the driver's side and smacked it just enough for him to look over. He noticed and rolled his eyes, placing his hand on his left side pretending I'm not there. I growled in madness and drove ahead just enough to drift the motorcycle to it's side as I stepped off in anger. I placed my hands on my hips as Joker stopped.
"You're not leaving me, are you baby?" Joker asked. I threw my hands down on the hood of the car.
He walked out of his car.
"Everything you said, every test, every trial, every initiation." I gasped, "I have proved I love you, just accept it's not a-"
"God, for the love of god, I'm not someone who is loved." he said shaking his head. "I'm an idea state of mind."
A truck behind Joker's Lamborghini honked, I didn't care though, I only cared for love.
He continues; "I execute my will, according to my plan and you, Doctor, is not part of my plan, hmm."
As we continued our argument, the truck driver stepped out and said; "Hey d**k, go talking to your fish somewhere else," I grabbed Joker's gun from his holder and shot the man in the chest. I adjusted my eyes towards J in anger.
"I'm going to say, I wouldn't do that if I were you-" I pointed the gun towards J's forehead. He continued with his hands in the air, "Don't hurt me, I'll be your friend."
"My heart scares you and a gun doesn't..."
"Don't do that!" He grabs the gun from my grip. Joker laughs and points it to his head for second. "Harley, if you weren't crazy, I'd think you're insane... Now go away"
"I'm not leaving you."
"What do I have to do to get some alone time, Harls?" His lips went tight. I looked around me, this is who I'm meant to be with and he's not interested.
"J-"
"Fine, get in the car with me, I'm going to show you my special place." He said with a smile, "This is your last chance."
As we drove towards the place I least expected to be Puddin's special place. He walked me up to a open level, all I saw was steam. We walked forward. I looked down the edge of the metal platform. Chemicals. I turned and looked at Joker.
"Welcome, Harls." He grinned as he turned around multiple times with his arms out. I giggled. "Now tell me, would you die for me?" He asked seriously.
I nodded my head in response.
"Of course, but here's the deal-breaking question- would you- would you live for me?"
I nodded that time as well. J came close to me and put his hand with the tattooed smile above my lips and said some stuff that I wasn't paying attention to, but I remember the distinct moment of watching his lips move. Until the moment his lips worked out the words "Now jump." I followed the directions and fell off the metal platform backwards into the acid. Before I knew it I was surrounded by olive green acid. As I laid in this chemical, I felt a splash next to me. I was grabbed by the waist and pulled up. I breathed in the air of the surface and found J holding me, I kissed him immediately, he released and raised his head in the air and laughed his signature throaty laugh. I laughed along because for once, I found love and love has found me. And man, he was one heck of a man.
