I woke to the smell of lavender, and a warm cup of chamomile tea by my bed side. yawning, I sat myself up and rubbed my eyes. they felt puffy, which I later realised was from crying. I was in my bed, at home, and nothing had ever felt better.
at some point last night I must've changed into my pyjamas, but I noticed that my top was on inside out. I grabbed my phone to check the time - 5:34, Saturday evening - when my phone buzzed. 1 new message.

I stared at the text, somewhat stunned. love. that was a pretty strong word. how would I know if I loved Alex? sure, I had feelings for him, but if he felt the same, I wasn't entirely sure. my fingers hovered over the keypad for a minute or two.
