(present time)
Laurel finally opened her eyes to see her dad, Sara and Oliver standing besided her bed side. She was so confused on what was going on. All she remember is helping a little girl out of the building then it all went black.
"Laurel?" Oliver said firmly but softly as my dad and Sara gather around me.
"Ollie?" she said as she slowly looked over to her side. "Dad? Sara?" she slightly rubbed her head and eyes.
"It's us." They all said at the same time.
"What happened?" she asked softly.
"There was an accident at your work. Someone put a bomb in the building and you got injured." He said touching her cheek.
"What? Is everyone okay?" she asked slightly breathing heavily due to panciking a little.
"Everyone is just fine Laurel. You got everyone to safety." Sara said smiling a little as she looked at her sister.
"I did?" Laurel looked back smiling. She was happy that she could help people to safety.
"You did." She smiled moving Laurel's hair out of her face. "Laurel Lance always trying to save the world."
"If I don't then who will?" she said chuckling a bit.
"Then it's a good thing the world has you in it." She smiled kissing her head. "Now dad and I are gonna get us some food."
"Okay." she smiled facing Oliver while they walked out.
"How are you feeling?" He watched her as touched her cheek, stroking it.
"I feel fine." she said while he kissed her forehead softly as Slade walked in with flowers.
"Hey Laurel." Slade stands on the other side of the bed looking at Oliver. "I'm sorry I couldn't come sooner. I got held up by an old friend."
"Don't worry. Besides I was asleep for the last couple of days." Laurel said smiling a little. She liked Slade if she was being honest.
"At least your awake now and these are for you." He said as he handed her the flowers.
"Thank you. They are beautiful." Laurel said as she smiled setting them down next to her. "How's your business coming along?"
"It's going well." He smiled happily. He was about to say something else but Oliver interrupted him.
"Do you need something Slade?" He said a bit coldly which caught Laurel by surpise.
"I'm just here to see Laurel. I mean it's the least I can do for her after she helped me with my business." Slade said calmly.
"There's nothing you can do for her Slade, now get out." He said with anger in his voice.
"Guys?" Laurel whisperedsoftly sitting up slightly as she looked up at them.
"I will leave when she tells me to leave." Slade said with aggressive in his voice.
"Oh trust me, she wants you to leave." He paused for a moment before speaking again. "Get out before I throw you out."
"Oliver!" Laurel snapped a bit while watching them walk over to each other. "You know what! Both of you get out and don't come back until you both start acting your age and get along!" she said angry crossing her arms over her chest.
"Laurel." Oliver said softly.
"No Oliver! Out now!" she snapped at him. She didn't want to deal with his attitude.
They both look at each other then back at Laurel before walking out. She hated to kick them both out but if they both didn't stop arguing, they might hurt each other. She signed closing her eyes. She needed to find out what was going on with them... With Oliver.
-
Kendal walked to the hospital after hearing about Laurel. He wished he had gone sooner to visit but he couldn't because Oliver was always by her side and it would cause drama if he was in there.
He finally arrived at the hospital. He walked straight to her room. One of the reason why he is visiting her because he needed to know if she has any information on Oliver. When he walked in, looking at her, he knew she was stressed and even in pain but he honestly didn't care.
"Laurel?" he said calmly walking up besides her bed.
"What are you doing here?" She asked fully sitting up.
"Checking up on you." he said setting the flowers vase on the table stand.
"No, what are you doing here?" She said seriously.
"What I can't stop by and see how are you?" he questioned looking at her while she gave him a look. "Fine. I'm here to check in if you have any information on Oliver?"
"Nope. The only thing I know so far is that Oliver and Slade are hiding something." She finally started to relax.
"Like?" he asked as he watched her.
"Don't you think I would've told you if I knew what they are hiding?" She said annoyed while her father walked in.
"Right sorry." he said before turning to looking at Quentin. "Quentin! Good to see you again."
"It's Mr. Lance to you Kendal." He crossed his arms. Quentin never liked him. Something about him that Quentin didn't trust.
"Sorry." Kendal said sarcastically.
He just rolled his eyes while looking at Laurel. "What is he doing here?"
"He wants to know if I found out anything about Oliver." She scooted so her dad could sit.
"Yep. Do you perhaps know something about his disappearance?" he said watching him sit besides her.
"Leave him out of this Kendal." She said firmly as she looked at me making sure Kendal got the hint.
"Relax. I just wanted to know if he knew anything." he said as he rubbed her shoulder.
"Hands off her now." Quentin said looking at him seriously. "And no I don't know nothing. Even if I did I wouldn't tell you. I don't trust you." He paused for a moment. "If it wasn't for Laurel, you'll be in jail or even dead by now. There's something fishy about you that I don't like."
"Well then, I don't do well with threats." Kendal said crossing his arms.
"Oh that wasn't a threat but I can give you one if you want." He got up while both men walked to each other.
"Kendal! Back the hell off! Now!" She snapped at him pointing to the door. She wasn't gonna let anyone talk or hurt her dad like that.
-
"Oliver?" Sara said standing in front of him.
"Yes?" He asked looked at her..
"What's going on with you?" Sara asked as she sat besides him.
"A lot." He exclaim as he watched her.
"Talk." she said demanding him to tell her.
"Slade is making my life miserable. And I can't tell Laurel who he truly is... Who I am." He signed holding his head.
"You can." she said softly as she laid her head on his shoulder.
"No I can't. And you know it." He shook his head as he watched her.
"Yes you can. You just don't want to. You can trust my sister." Sara said reminding him.
"I know I can but I have to protect her from getting hurt." He said with a bit of attitude.
"And you think keeping this secret from her is keeping her from getting hurt." she said. She was starting to get irritated with him.
"Yes." He simply said.
