Nathalie Sancoeur visited the family mail box to retrieve any mail they have received that morning. Today's mails were less than off last week, they're mainly of paperwork regarding the Agreste manor or the Gabriel fashion brand.

Collected all by hand, the personal assistant sifted through every single one of them, all plain and seemingly mundane, until she came across an envelope covered entirely in baby pink polka dots and floral decorations. How she found those patterns so familiar. Maybe she should let Gabriel have a look and see what he thinks.

Gabriel's always in his office in which he forbade anyone aside from Nathalie, and occasionally Adrien from entering. Nathalie entered Gabriel's office with all the mail collected and directly showed Gabriel the pink envelope first.

"Sir, as I was collecting your mail this morning, this envelope caught my attention," she handed the mail to Gabriel from his desk, "the patterns, and the intricate designs made on the envelope suggests that perhaps the sender is the baker's daughter."

He took and examined the envelope by flipping it over and indeed, Adrien's name was scribbled on the paper along with its accurate home address. "Marinette Dupain-Cheng, she is trying to make moves on my son."

Gabriel teared open the seal that had Marinette's initial and unfolded the letter contained inside. "Your suspicions are correct, Nathalie. This girl wanted Adrien to know about her romantic feelings for him."

"Should the letter be given to Adrien then?"

"No. Marinette is ready to accept rejection. Knowing my son, he will give her a gentle rejection if he can't return the feelings."

The most powerful negative emotion is a result from love.

Gabriel handed Marinette's letter to Nathalie and ordered, "Put the letter through the shredder. Adrien cannot know about this."

"As you wish, sir." Nathalie obediently bowed at her boss and went over her corner of the office and set up the shredder to have it processed through.

As Nathalie watched the heartfelt words divide into strips of pure scrap, there was a knock on the door followed by that door opening a tiny crack for half of Adrien's body to pop out of it.

"Hey Father, Nathalie? Is it okay if I have breakfast out?"

"Why?"

"Uhh—my friends invited me. It's just something to celebrate the Spring break," Adrien nervously scratched the back of his head as he explained, hoping that his old man would let him go. He then noticed the pink opened envelope with Marinette's initial on the seal. The same initial design that she has used to design her clothes and bags. Adrien was about to mention the envelope from Marinette when Gabriel then questioned, "How long is this breakfast out with your friends?"

"It'll only take an hour. Besides, my fencing practice will start nine-thirty. Please, Father? I need to see them."

Gabriel nodded his head once, dismissing Adrien to go. "Thank you Father! Thank you Nathalie."
