The new girl || Tony Lopez

Tessa is now one month old! Wow.
I make my vlog about Tessa, saying how big she she is, what she likes to do, new things she does. I edit and post it on YouTube.

I put Tessa in the back seat of our car, tony gets Winnie. We get everything in and start driving.

I sit in the back to tend to Tessa.

We are currently on our way to Winnipeg. We decide to drive rather than fly because it's a lot harder to fly with a baby than to drive.

Every third town/city we get to, tony stops and we get out for a minute or two to let Tessa out of her car seat and rock her. She does amazing in the car. I fall asleep at about 10pm, after feeding Tessa and burping her.

When I wake up we're in Canada. I must've slept through everything.

"Goodmorning" tony says as he sees me moving around back here. Tessa is asleep.

"Oh I'm sorry I didn't mean to sleep the whole night." I apologize

"Don't worry, we're almost in Winnipeg."

"Okay" I smile. "How was tessa?"

"She only cried when she needed something. Every time she cried, I changed her, then fed her, then burped her then put her back to sleep, while you slept through it all. I don't know how you slept through her crying for that couple minutes before I stopped."

"Tony, you've slept a lot more than I have since she's been born"

"No we've slept the same. Remember we switch nightly on who gets up for her"

"On the nights you take care of her, I still wake up"

"You don't have to baby" he smiles.

"I know. But she's my babygirl"

"I know." I start to see a city line. "Hey there's winnipeg!!" I smile. "How did you get through the border?"

"I told the officer that you've been sleeping for a bit and needed it, and I showed him your passport, tessas, and winnies. He let us through because he said he too just had a baby and understands the having a hard time sleep."

"Ohh.." I make him stop so I can get in the front and stretch out. Tessa stays asleep til we get to our hotel, when tony takes her out of the car seat and lays her in our bed and plays with her.

"Tony we have to go to my grandmas"

"Can we just go tomorrow morning? I'm tired"

"I'll call my grandma."

I call & talk to my grandma on the phone and she tells me it doesn't matter when we come and tells me tony needs his sleep as well.

"Yes you can go to sleep" I say picking up tessa and laying on the bed. He gets under the covers beside me and cuddles up to me. "I swear you are more of a baby than I am"

"I just need my cuddles."

"Yeah yeah" I say

My phone starts ringing. It's my grandma.

"Hey dear, your mom called me and said you forgot to pick her up from the airport."

"I never was going to pick her up. Grandma she's trying to control my life and tessa's. She told me I had to breastfeed, but I decided not to because it'd work better for both of us and she even tried taking Tessa from Tony's mom when they were meeting her.."

"Your mom should not be telling you what to do and not to do. When your mom had nick, she did everything on her own... maybe she thinks that since she didn't get help that she should help you. Have you tried telling her?"

"I've told her multiple time's to back off, my dad did too. He said that she needed to calm down. She wouldn't listen. I haven't let her hold Tessa yet"

"Well, I'll tell her to go back to Vegas."

"She probably won't listen."

"I'm her mom. She will"

"Okay grandma"

"You and tony have a good rest. See you guys tomorrow" she says

"Goodnight" I say back and hang up.

"Let me go I'm gonna put Tessa in her crib" I say, getting up.

I lay Tessa in her bassinet and then lay back down with tony after Tessa is sleeping again.

"So, what could we do now" he looks at me.

"Tony, no, I'm still sore from giving birth."

"But I haven't had sex in like 5 months"

"No tony. And I haven't either. But it'll hurt."

"Oh okay..." he says laying on top of me. "I love you"

"I love you too tony"

I fall asleep with tony laying on top of me. He loves laying on top of me.
