I lay my head on the car window, waiting for us to get home. We just moved from Winnipeg Manitoba, to Las Vegas, Nevada.
I think of scenarios of what my new house will look like, and none of them are actually true. When we pull up to our house, it's huge.

When I get out of the car I see two Boys staring at me. They were playing basketball but now they're focused on us. One is kinda hot. They must be our neighbours. The two boys starts to walk towards me, and my parents.
"Hi, you guys must be our new neighbours. I'm tony, and this is my brother ondreaz, do you guys need any help with moving stuff in?" He says as my older brother approaches the house with our moving truck
"That would be wonderful" my mom smiles and we go to grab our things out of the truck, into our house. It's even bigger on the inside.
"Would you two boys like to come over for supper tonight?"
They both nod "if that's okay with you guys"
"Of course! It's a thank you for helping us"
They both smile.
*three hours later*
I'm hanging up my clothes when I hear a knock at the door, it's tony, holding a box that says Madi on it.
"I think this box is yours" he smiles and puts down on my floor
"I'm madi" I smile
"Nice to meet you" he smiles "so are you going to Vegas private?"
I nod "I'm kinda nervous"
"Don't be, I'll be your first friend there" he laughs a little
"Okay" I smile.
"I don't have many friends there either, so we can be close" he says smiling
I think I might like him. He's sweet. "That's great" I smile
"Suppers ready!" My mom yells from the kitchen
"Uh oh, I can only imagine what she's cooked up for us" we both laugh and go downstairs
I sit beside tony and Ondreaz sits beside my brother across from us
"So do you two boys go to Vegas Private too?" My dad asks
"Yeah, but this is my senior year." Ondreaz says "Tony's going into 11 this year"
"Oh, that's cool, Madi is going into 11 this year too!" My mom smiles
Tony looks at me and smiles
"So, what's there to do around here?" My older brother Nick asks.
"Not a lot around here but you go more into the city and there's a lot more... it's really quite around here" ondreaz says.
After dinner, ondreaz and tony leave and I go to my room. I see a piece of paper on my floor, weird. I pick it up and it reads "this is my number, text me sometime - tony *his number*"
I add his number to my contacts and then I finish moving all of my things around in my room. I set up my tv and decide to watch on my block and text tony. I don't know what to say
"Hey, it's Madi." No that sounds too original
"What's up tony it's madi😌" No that doesn't sound right. Ugh.
"Hey tony, it's Madi:)" I decide on and wait for a respond.
An hour later I get a text back
Tony: Heyyy, sorry I took so long I was hanging out with Ondreaz
Me: Oh, that's cool:)
Tony: so, hows the new house feeling? Good?
Me: Yeah... I miss my home though
Tony: Oh, well i get that. I lived in Los Angeles for all of July and I missed it here so much
Me: I miss the cold tbh
Tony: You'll love the heat!
Me: But winnipeg is so much more nice 😂
Tony: Vegas will grow on you😌
Me: Okay i believe you😂
Tony: Maybe one day you could take Ondreaz and I to winnipeg, we've always wanted to travel to Canada.
Me: Maybe😂
Tony: So, tell me about yourself
Me: Well, not much to say really.. but, I just broke up with my boyfriend last night because I don't wanna do distance... distance sucks..
Tony: I'm sorry to hear that, but I do understand how distance sucks.
Me: Oh.. well, it's gonna be a lot easier now.
Tony: Yeah, so any other interesting facts about Madi?
Me: I love hockey, and if you haven't guessed, my favourite team is the Winnipeg Jets
Tony: I like the golden knights, but I could switch teams if someone gave me a reason to.
Me: Oh well ahah. What's interesting about you?
Tony: I dance, a lot, ondreaz and I dance at our school a lot, doing mostly pep rally's, and then once a week we're on the announcements, they do a video of us
Me: Wow, you must be good then 😂
Tony: I'm not one to gloat, lol
Me: 😂
Tony: What are you doing rightnow?
Me: Watching on my block, you?
Tony: Watching tiktoks, lol
Me: You have tiktok? What's your account?
Tony: Tonylopez
Me: Okay.
1 minute later
Me:what the hell you have 500k followers
Tony: Yeah um... I didn't want you to think of me as some famous dude
Me: Well, I don't think of you that way. I was starting to like you before I knew that. Regardless of your fame, I still like you.
Tony: Really? Well I feel honoured
We talk for awhile longer and then I eventually fall asleep. It's not so bad here, I already have Two friends and they both go to my school. I'm gonna be okay here I bet.
