Fourteen

Brooke was getting more and more worried about Adam. She didn't trust him. She didn't want him around but she knew Rachel was in love with him.

When she woke that morning, she walked downstairs and saw Leigh there. She grinned at Daisy. "Hi cutie."

"Me need stay here for one day cause mummy and daddy gots to go out," Daisy said.

Brooke nodded. "Shall we go and play upstairs? I can paint your nails."

"Otay. Bye mummy."

Brooke walked upstairs with Daisy. Adam was coming out of the bedroom. He smirked when he saw Daisy. "Hello cuddlebug. What are you doing here?" He asked.

Brooke noticed how scared of Adam that Daisy was. She ignored Adam and took her into the bedroom.

Brooke could hear Rachel and Adam talking about her. She didn't like it. Daisy handed her a picture. "What's this?"

"The bad man."

Brooke frowned. "What bad man princess?" She asked. She was getting scared. "Daisy what bad man?"

Daisy pointed to the door. "Nanny bad man. He hurt mine lady bits," she mumbled.

Brooke felt sick. She could feel the sick rising in her throat. "When?"

"Afores. When me stayed nanny last time. He say me no tell mummy or daddy cause he hurt me again."

Brooke was feeling sick. She felt the tears pour down her cheeks. She walked over to Daisy and picked her up. "Let's go out princess."

Rachel frowned as Brooke walked in with Daisy. "I'm taking Daisy out. I'll take her back to Leigh and Max. Need to talk to them."

"Daisy come and give grandad a hug."

"Don't touch her!" Brooke yelled. She wasn't going to let him hurt Daisy anymore.

Brooke went to the park with Daisy. Daisy sighed. "You tell my mummy?" She asked.

"Yeah babes. I'm going to tell your mummy. She won't shout at you though."

Daisy nodded. "I no want him hurt me again. He make my lady bits bleed."

Brooke knew if she told Rachel then she wouldn't be believed. Rachel didn't believe her about anything. She didn't think she could. She knew Adam had hurt her too.

Daisy smiled. "Go on swing?"

"Go on then."

Brooke grabbed her phone and text Tom:

Whatever happens, I love you so much - Brooke xx

She knew she was being silly for telling him she loved him, but she felt like everything was changing and she didn't trust Rachel to not get her sectioned again.

Brooke took Daisy back to Max and Leigh. Leigh smiled. "Mum told me you took her out. Has she been good?"

"Yeah. Golden. I need to talk to you and Max," Brooke mumbled.

Leigh frowned. But she took her little girl and brought her sister inside.

Daisy went to play in her bedroom. Brooke looked at Max and Leigh. "She told me about this earlier."

"Told you what?"

Brooke wiped away her tears. "S-She told me that Adam touched her. Down below."

Leigh was shocked. She could tell there was something else Brooke wasn't telling her. "Brooke? Talk to me."

"H-He did it to me..."

Leigh realised that Adam had hurt the two most important people in her life. He wasn't going to get away with it.
