Chapter 2

Nikki's POV

Just as everyone started to get into pairs, the teachers say that 'she put us in groups'

"Taylor and .... Asher

Khensi and .... Kiara

Nikki and ..... Ryder....."

Here I am sitting in class with a gobsmacked expression on my face as everyone in the class turned to stare at me, they were all giving me dirty looks as if I had just killed someone. The teacher stoped when she saw everyone turn to look at me and then she cleared her throat and continued.

"Alex and ... Sarah

Sam and ... Luke

Evie and ... Jayden

John and ... Lesley

James and ...Kristy

Amanda and ... Gia

Jordan and ...Mason"

"That's the groups and there will be no switching of partners, I will give you your project during tomorrows lesson" just then the bell sounds as to say the lesson is over and the teacher dismisses us.

I practically run out of the class room and towards the library as I have a free lesson. As I enter the library I am greeted by the friendly librarian and I make my way to the corner where I always sit and study.

The final bell of the day rang and I started to pack up my stuff, once I was all packed up I left the library and headed to my locker to get some of my books. I was now heading towards the doors with my head hanging low when I walked straight into a hard wall, I fell to the floor, I picked up all my books, stood up and saw that I hadn't walked in to a wall but I had walked in my English partners chest. He looked at with and expression I couldn't read, I then mumbled a quick 'sorry' and walked towards the door- this time making sure not to walk into anyone. When I finally arrived at the place where I left my bike, I hopped on and drove to go and fetch my sister, Rosely, from primary school.

When she saw me a smile appeared on her face and she ran towards the bike and hugged it. I guess she was smiling at the bike not at me, sometimes I think she loves the bike more then I do. I helped her on and gave her a helmet to put on. On the way home I stopped at the ice cream shop so we could talk about her first day of school.

When my mom finally got home she made us dinner and asked about our first day of school. Rosily told her all about her day and how she made a new friend by the name of Alice Bennett. My mom then asked me about my day I said 'it was boring, just like every other school day.' My mom knew that I didn't really like school and that I had enough credits to graduate last year, but when I asked her to sign the papers allowing me to graduate early she said that I need to act like a normal child and that I must graduate with my class. I am still upset over the fact that I have to go to school for another year.

After dinner I helped my mom clean up and packed the dishes into the dishwasher. I then went upstairs and told my sister to get ready for bed, I changed into my pajamas and went to go and tuck my sister in.

I was sitting at my desk doing homework when my mom walked in and said that its getting late and that she was headed off to bed. I checked the time on my phone and saw that it was 12 o'clock. Just as I was about to put my phone on charge and go to sleep a WhatsApp notification popped up on my screen from an unknown number. I opened the message and I almost threw my phone across the room.

"I can't believe I found u after all these years. -R"
