Chapter 20

Nikki's POV

"...the only person that sort of knew me and that we left was my father and his friend." I say this before realization hit me.
My father. "Oh my gosh, I think I know who it is" I say. Ryder is still looking at me with a lost expression, how has he not figured this out yet
"What? You know who he is." He asks, still confused
"Its my father. It has to be, we left him in Texas a few years ago and he is an Alpha. That would explain why I only turned when I found you, it also explains why he said that he finally found me." I say, beginning to panic
"Its ok, it's going to be ok. I won't let anything happen to you. The pack and I will have your back no matter what." He says, trying to comfort me.
"Im not scared of my father, he wasnt the reason we left." I say trying to push the memories of what happened away.
"If he wasnt the reason, who was?" Ryder asks trying to think of his own answer.
"My dad's friend." I simply stated but I remember that I heard something about his 'company' being the second 'biggest in the world. It proberly ment that his pack was the second strongest in the world.
"Can I ask you something?" I ask
"I'm sure you can, not like me saying no is going to stop you." He say in a joking manner, proberly trying to lighten up the mood. All I can do is smile at him
"Which packs are the strongest and second strongest in the world?" I ask. He just looks at me in a funny way
"The second strongest pack is the Jungle Moon Pack and the strongest pack is ours." He says with a proud smirk on his face but it disappears when he sees that I'm not smiling
"Why, what's wrong?" He asks, worried now
"Well there is good news and bad news. Good news is that we found out who the new Alpha in town is and the bad news is that it's my dad and his pack - the Jungle Moon Pack  ." I say
"Oh crap. Its fine if we keep up with training and improve our defense, we should be fine." He says, trying to comfort me, but it wasn't working because in all honesty my dad's friend scared me, just because he used to abuse me from a young age and if my dad's whole pack was here that ment his friend was here too.
"We have to tell the pack about what we just found out." I said to him in an upset tone because I didn't want to tell the pack about me being abused.
"We will tell them tomorrow. Lets just go to sleep, ok?" He asked more then stated. I am extremly happy that he said we should go to bed because being  pregnant and on top of that being a pregnant wolf is more tyring then I thought. I also have a massive appetite, i feel like I could eat a cow at anytime of the day, even if I had just eaten.
"Ok." I said still pleased at the fact that it was him that sugested it not me. We made our way to the room, changed into pajamas and went to sleep.
