Trouble In Paradise

Things had been quite, way too quite, I could feel something building on the horizon. I just didn't know when or where or with whom. We all spent the time enjoying our families, strengthening the bonds that had almost been shattered. Mom and Dad QuAreten was spending every available moment with Lererial and the girls, as was Kittmaw. Kittmaw and Marsoon had hit it off really good, he really enjoyed Kittmaw's stories and rantings about history and was really good at fixing things. Kittmaw said that her office had never run this smoothly before. Marsoon lived up to his Jarscoon heritage as a master "fixer upper"! I actually think they were kind of sweet on each other, it wouldn't surprise me if they announced they were mated!! Change is definitely in the air!!! Mom and Dad Jack visited a lot. Lererial and I, Slug & Belle and Mom and Dad Jack would go for long rides through the wilds of Qutar.

On one such ride we ran into a rouge group of Kysharisk that were not affiliated with any of the known clans. They were very leery of a mixed group of Kysharisk, Kitteah and ....Human?

I leaped from Belle to land directly in front of the leader of this pack! I reached out with my mind and drew him to where his nose was touching my nose. The others in the pack were unsure what to do, but it had all happened so fast they did not have time to react. My nose touched his nose, I entered his now willing mind, "We are the Sartaril Kittar Rosfal we are a part of a Galaxy wide network that is here to bring balance to the Galaxy. We openly invite you and your pack to join with us and see the future revealed in front of our own eyes!"

There was a momentary confusion as the leader began to see the true realization of what I had just told them, he bowed and said, "We will pledge our allegiance to you Sartaril Kittar Rosfal, and to the new leader of the Kysharisk, Jack!!"

Dad, Jack, stepped forward and touched his nose to the nose of the leader. It was settled, this pack would stand with Jack and Sheraira, they all raised their heads and began to howl. I duplicated and added my howl to the pack!!

..."Thank you for handling that situation the way you did, son. You make me more proud each day to be your Dad!"

"And I to be your Mom" Sheraira added.

"This is what I am here for, to make friend of enemies and to strengthen the families"

....Back home Lererial was begging for my attention, but something was wrong, my heightened sense of awareness was blaring at full throttle. Lererial could feel it too, "What is it, where is, who is it?"

"I don't know yet, but whatever it is it is the biggest we have faced yet. I just hope I am prepared to meet it.?"

"Someone once told me that with me by their side they could accomplish anything, I am still right here!"

I picked her up in my arms and began to kiss her before she could say another word, the kiss led to other things and before long several hours had passed. "Thank You!"

"No, Thank You, that was extra special!"

"Thanks, but I was talking about getting my mind back where it needed to be. Since when do I get worried, I have been given too much to worry about what lies ahead. The All Father has prepared me to meet any challenge the Galaxy has to offer and yet I find myself anxious, I'm so sorry!"

"Do not apologize. Remember, I see the same fear you see, I may not feel it as strong as you do but I know it is there. Also remember, we have your back, all of us! Thanks to you we are all family!!!!!"

We were quite for a while, just holding each other and listening to the sounds of the world around us. "You know the love really was especially good tonight, I wonder if it has anything to do with that fission heart you now have?" Lererial said very playfully!
