A boyㅡnaïve and kind,

Wore black-squared glasses,

His scrawny arms carried the big weight,

He may not be strong,

He may not be large,

But he had an intelligent mind.

Jealousy burned within them,

Envy in their murderous eyes,

Hatred in their stone hearts,

It was heㅡthey contemn.

He slithered his way into hiding,

Glaring daggers at him,

Distaste visible on their faces,

They found pleasure and satisfaction,

By making him suffer.

Staring at his wounded reflection,

The bruises that colored his body,

His eyes following the trail of red,

Slowly dripping from his nose,

Falling on the bathroom sink,

He couldn't look,

He couldn't believe,

It was he,

Staring back at him.

Closing his eyes,

The sight was horrendously blinding.

His existence did not matter,

Concealing himself in the shadows,

For it was better than facing the brutal pain,

Terrified to meet his attackers.

Feeling so vulnerable and incapacitated,

He was all alone,

In this cruel world,

The wicked reality,

It was suffocating him,

A harsh grip on his heart,

On his weak soul,

He could not fight,

Wishing everything would restart.

He could not see,

He could not perceive,

He would never be alone,

He had she,

She wasn't going anywhere,

Already a part of his life,

Glued and never to be taken away,

He could not realize,

He could not apprehend,

A sealed treasure boxㅡhe was,

Pearls, gems, and valuable jewelry was his essence,

And she was some sort of key,

An answer to his questions,

A solution to his problems.

She must be a ghost,

Hovering around him,

Trying to attract his attention,

To himㅡshe was invisible.

He could see,

But he didn't see her,

He could hear,

But he didn't hear her,

He couldn't feel,

But she could feel him.

He felt scared and defenseless,

She should've been his safe haven,

Tears welled up in his eyes,

She should've been his shoulder to cry on,

The heavy weight was too painful for him to handle,

She should've caught him before he fell.

It was all too fast,

And she was too slow,

It is now,

And she was living in the past,

It was too late,

She couldn't do anything,

She wished she could've saved him,

From the pain,

From the suffering,

From himself.

He was gone,

He was brokenㅡbeyond repair,

He was lifeless,

He was dead,

The boy she was deeply in love with,

Was murdered,

When he was hit by the tsunami of despair.
