After dinner, we all sit around the fireplace as it starts to thunder outside. Luna is talking to the little pup baking in Elle's stomach. "when you get here, I'll show you this cool trick I learned at school, and I'll show you how to convince Aku to give you candy with my signature puppy eyes." Elle and I chuckle. "Hey Noma, can we sing to the baby?" I look at Luna. "sure, Lu, what do you wanna sing?" She taps the figures to her chin and looks up. " I know!!" She gets up and starts to sing, "I'm a dude, she's a dude, he a dude, we're all dudes..." She rocks her hips side to side, really getting into the performance. I can't help but laugh. "while I think that's an amazing song, how about a song mama used to sing to you?" she stops dancing and looks at me. "Ooo, what song is that?" I grab her hand and take her to Elle, who sits comfortably on the couch. "it's eleggua; in our pack, every elder and expecting mom would sing this to the baby." "Wow, I haven't heard that song in a long time," Elle smiles, looking at her stomach, "I think he likes it too." we watch as the baby kicks. "cool," Luna whispers; Aku gets up from the chair across the room "alright little pup time for bed" Luna looks up at him "come on ten more minutes pretty please?" She pouts her lips out and clasps her hands together, but Aku isn't phased. "no, it's time for bed." her shoulder drops. "fine," she gets up, hugs everyone good night, and walks back to our room. "I'm gonna head to bed too." Elle holds her hand out for Geo to help her up. "goodnight, my loves," she says, smiling; she kisses Geo and heads to their room. "We've gotten word of 3 more disappearances this week," Geo announces. "Aku and I have disgusting potential escape plans, so keep a bag packed at all times." I look out the window. "is this ever gonna end?" I ask. "We don't know, but I'll do anything to ensure we are all protected," Aku says. I look at him ... I know he's my Alpha, but I wish I still had my Brother, too. I leave the couch and walk to our room, where Luna is already fast asleep. Matt shortly comes in behind me. He grabs his phone off the charger and turns it back on. It goes off 15 times: "Who's texting you so much?" He looks at me and smirks. "just this guy I met on Bumble." Matt has been very active on dating apps lately; I understand, or at least I think I know, the need to want to find your mate. I look at Geo and Elle, and honestly, I envy their love. I wish things were different. I wish we were in our pack house getting ready for a mating ceremony, finding our loves, having my Brother be my Brother, my sister having other kids to play with, Elle and Geo having a life outside of us, and for me to be a teenager... "don't let him keep you up all night" I tease, Matt rolls his eyes and cuts the light off "goodnight Neoma" ...
