Neoma
8:35 pm Thursday

We started packing up the cabin, grabbing only our essentials and throwing the rest into the fireplace to ensure we couldn't be tracked by scent. Geo and Aku are burning the blankets, rugs, and pillows in the fire pit in the back. I look over in Matt's direction, who is staring into space. "Penny for your thoughts?" He snaps out of it and looks at me.

"I have to see him, Neoma before we go; I have to." I drop the rest of my clothes in my duffle and look at him. "I don't think it's a good idea," he looks at me with pleading eyes. "please, neoma, it will only be half an hour tops." I raise my eyebrow at him. "fine, but I'm going with you, and you only have 15 minutes" he nods his head, and I walk out to the back to Aku

"Can I get the keys? I need to resign at the café plus pick up food for the road" he grabs the key out of his pocket "Come right back Neoma, and take Matt with you" I hold the key out of his hand "Aye aye captain" I say sarcastically.

Matt and I get into the Jeep; we drive to Lily's diner, where Matt's little 'pen pal' awaits him. I pull into the parking lot and look at Matt. "I have a bad feeling about this, Matt; I don't think this is worth it," he looks out the window. "I have to see him. If things get bad, we'll break for it, alright?" I nod; I'm going against my judgment by letting him see this person. I can't shake the feeling like we shouldn't be here...

Matt

We get out of the car and head into the diner. I know Neoma is worried, and I can't lie; I am too, but I must see the guy I've been talking to for months. I must see what he really looks like, or it will annoy me. Neoma heads to the back to speak to the diner's owner and grab the food we ordered earlier. I sit in the booth in the back, waiting to meet who I know as 'Redross.' It's been 5 minutes, but it feels like hours. My heart is racing out of my chest. I can't help but feel my wolf on edge.

We should go, Matt; I don't feel good about this. I look over to Neoma sitting at the bar, waiting for the food to finish five more minutes, and then we'll leave. He's probably just-

A guy walks in. He's a tall, muscular guy with a football letterman's jacket, blonde curly hair that's faded at the sides, and light blue eyes. He walks over to my booth. "wolfboy69?" He asks; I smile and nod my head. He shoots me an award-winning smile. "I didn't think you'd come. I thought I'd be stood up," he sits across from me. " I like to keep my promises. My name is Matt, by the way,"  he smiled. "Joshua," he pulls out something from his pocket, "I got you something." he slides me a Polaroid of his abs, and I smirk. "so you wanna head in the bathroom?" he asks; I glance over in Neoma a direction where she's staring at a group of guys in the opposite side of the diner. I furrow my brows ... something's wrong. "Matt, what's wrong?" I look back at Joshua. "nothing, let's go." we get out of the booth, head to the men's bathroom, and lock the door. He moves closer to me.

"you have no idea how long I've waited for this moment." I take a deep breath when I smell him ... a wolf. I back up, "What's the matter, Matt, all talk, no bite?" He chuckles. "how did you find me?" He smirks. "you weren't that hard to find. You've been masquerading on dating while the others you're with don't even have a digital footprint, but you lead us right to them now, didn't you?" I feel anger pulse through my body; I should've listened to Neoma, I should've ... oh no, Neoma!!

Joshua smirks. "worried about your little friend out there? Aww," he graces his finger across my cheek. Don't worry; she's being taken care of now."

Neoma

I keep watching the guys in the far corner and remember all the training I've been through in the last ten years. Three teen wolves with slight builds are rogues since they are undernourished; they have a car on the left-hand side of the parking lot where one is waiting in the car, most likely an omega.

I can smell his fear. I check on Matt as he heads into the bathroom when the group of guys starts to move. "Alright, Neoma, here's your order, and I will miss you here. I don't know how to replace a hard worker like yourself," I smile at Lou. "Aw, I'll miss you too; you think it's possible I could get my last check?" I need to get him away from the front of the diner because what's about to happen isn't going to be pretty. "of course, let me just head into the office, and I'll be right out." I put my hand on his arm. "it's not a rush. Take your time." I stare into his eyes, and he nods as if in a trance and heads into the back. The group of guys move closer to me.

"Well, well, well, looks like we have a party here, boys," I smirk and turn around. "am I invited to this party?" one of the guys locks the front door "Darling you're the main event" they lunge towards me, but I quickly move out the way "is that all you got? Well, this might be over pretty quickly." I grab one of the chairs and break the metal leg off. One of the guys runs towards me, and I launch the leg into his shoulder. He kneels in agony

"fuck! you stupid bitch" he screams in pain. "Takes one to know one." I drive my knee into his face, rendering him unconscious. "Looks like you aren't gonna go down easy, are you?" I smirk. The next wolf runs up to me and grabs me by my throat, cutting off my airflow. He squeezes tighter, and I can slowly feel my consciousness fading. I ram my knee into his crotch, making him lose his grip. I start coughing to catch my breath; I grab the pepper shaker and break it in my hand as the other wolf lunges toward me.

I press the broken pieces into his eye, and he screams in pain. I grab a stool and knock him upside his head. The last rouge gets up with a limp, still slightly guarding his crotch. I get into position, ready to take on whatever he tries to do. He's breathing heavily, which reminds me of the dog in Tom and Jerry when he's pissed. "Did I make the little pup mad?" he lunges towards me. I grab his arm and break it. He falls in pain and tries to kick, but I do the same with his left leg. I hold one of Lou's decorative baseball bats and knock him out. I drop the bat and wipe the sweat from my upper lip when Matt bursts through the bathroom in wolf form.

"There's one more, but he's an omega, so there's not much we need to worry about there" Matt looks around. Let's go before more come. I'll run home. You take the car.

Matt runs out the window and heads home. I grab the takeout and head to the car, speeding to the cabin.
