Greyson

As the day goes by, the more the anticipation builds, the more I will know who my future Luna is today. I find myself daydreaming about what she could look like, which quickly rolls into other stuff that I shouldn't be imagining during AP Global, especially when the lesson is on the holocaust. Trying to remain focused today has proven to be a bit of a challenge, but finally, we get to the end of the day. I grab my stuff out of my locker and meet Curtis and Zander at my car, and of course, he's there with Ava with his tongue down her throat. I roll my eyes at them very well, knowing it will be me and my mate later tonight. "Finally, another person. I can take the PDA here, man." I laugh at Zander's disgusted expression. "How long have they been like this?" Zander checks his watch.

"Oh, about ... a Fucking half an hour," I hit Curtis with a book. "break it up, you two. Save it for the bedroom, will you?" Zander groans. "I didn't need that image in my head." they slowly separate and we all pile into my car.

" so, Grey, you excited about finally knowing Anais is your mate?" Ava asks; I internally roll my eyes. "It could be anyone. What makes you so sure it's her?" She sits back. "Well, for one, she's strong, she gets along with most of the pups, and you've been with her for almost a year." She had a point. There are so many things that make me hope she isn't my mate. "maybe she is, but I'm open to anyone being my mate." we continue to drive in silence (apart from the kissing noises in my back seat) when we finally reach the house Curt's father is waiting at the front door I pull into the garage and get out the car. Curt's dad walks up to us. "Hey, guys and gal," Zander and Ava wave while Curtis greets his father with their traditional play fight. After they are done, he looks at me. "Your father requested your presence. He's in his office." I nod and head to him.

I pass by a mysterious Jeep I've never seen before, Nor do I recognize its scent. I ignore it and quickly head to my father. As I head closer, the scent becomes a lot stronger. I walk into his office, where he and another guy are conversing. "Speak of the man of the hour; my son has just entered again without knocking." he stands up. I walk close to the guy, and my wolf growls. "Sorry, Father," he pats my shoulder. I focus my gaze on the mysterious stranger in my father's office. "Greyson, this is Aku Walker, the alpha of the crescent pack." Aku stands up. He is tall and muscular with dark hair down to his shoulders and scruffy facial hair; he has dark brown eyes, thick eyebrows, and a caramel skin tone. He extends his hand. I take it and squeeze it tightly to assert my dominance, but he doesn't even flinch. We shake hands, and I sit across from him. "I would like to thank you for your hospitality to me and my family," his voice is deep but not as profound as my father's. "you're welcome; I know if the tables were turned, you'd do the same for us" he nods his head, I keep my gaze on him. I don't trust this 'Alpha.' this might be a whole scheme to take over my pack, and I'm not having it. He looks at me and raises his eyebrow but doesn't say anything. "Greyson Aku has a packmate around your age. Please keep a look out for him and make them. Feel welcomed,"

I shoot my father a look. "You want me to be a babysitter?!?" I growl. My father looks at me, infuriated. "Don't worry, Matt is more than capable of looking after himself," Aku interrupts. "If that is the case, then why the fuck are you here?" Aku slowly turns his head to me. "I'd be careful what you say next; I'm not here to cause any trouble,"

I rise out of my seat. "Then answer my question why. the .fuck .are .you. here" Aku gets up and meets my gaze. My 6,1 stature almost makes us meet at eye level. "I'm here to protect my pack, something you wouldn't know much about considering your ego. "I clenched my jaw.

He wants a fight. Let's give it to him!!! My wolf growls. "how about showing you how well I can protect my pack right now?" I growl. "That is enough, both of you!!!" My father gets out of his seat and pushes us both away before I can sink my teeth in the sorry excuse of an alpha
