Greyson

It's the day after, and I still can't get the taste of her lips off my tongue. While everything in me is screaming for more, I know that I want an emotional connection with her and a physical one. Hell, to get a physical one, I'll have to talk to her. Neoma is not like the pack girls at all. With them, all I had to do was snap my fingers to see them with their clothes off, not that I did that. I'm not that much for a douchebag.

Today, we join the rest of the pack in the house, and since our house isn't ready yet, that also means going back to our roommates temporarily. Usually, that wouldn't happen, but since Neoma and her family are at high risk, extra precautions must be taken to ensure their safety.

I had to attend a meeting with my father and her brother, so Neoma moved back in with Ava this morning before school. She was in the shower when I left, so I didn't see her before she left. I walk down the steps to the dining hall, and the smell of bacon fills my nostrils. "Sup Greyson," I turn to see Xander grinning from ear to ear. "hey, you sure look happy." he usually laughs. He's not this joyful, don't get me wrong, he's happy but more of a calm sort of happy. "do I?" I nod

He shrugs and opens the door to the hall. There's something different about him, but I don't pay too much attention to it because right there's only one thing I'm concerned about getting that pile of bacon, waffles, and eggs in my belly. I walk over to the buffet, grab three plates, and fill them with everything I see. Then I carefully walk to our tables where Neoma, Ava, Curtis, Xander, and Matt are already sitting if I remember his name right. I feel the butterflies (and the growling from hunger) intensifying the closer I get to her. It doesn't matter if I saw her five minutes or even a minute ago. She still takes my breath away. "Welcome back to the group, love bird," Curtis says with his arms spread out. I roll my eyes and sit down next to my mate, putting one of the waffles falling off my plate into my mouth for safe keeping "hungry much?" Neoma whispers in my ear, "only for you." I smirk and wink at her, resulting in her rolling her eyes

"Aww, you guys are so cute," Ava says, staring in our direction. "Look at us. We all are happy with our significant others. OMG, we should do a TRIPLE DATE. We could go to the movies or the diner omg, Neoma, you'll love the diner. It has the best cookies and creme milkshakes and the famous burgers! This is so exciting. We've never had this many couples in our friend groups before," Ava continues to rant as she so often does when she's excited ... wait did she say a triple date? I look over at Xander and Matt holding hands and smiling brightly at each other. I figured Xander didn't find his mate because he'd probably be human-like his mother. "When did this happen? And what else did we miss?" Neoma asks

"Well, they met two days or so ago and have been inseparable ever since. They've also been disappearing a lot, but we all know they are just fucking in a car or something" Ava shoots Curtis a look. "What we both know is Neoma and Greyson will probably do the same thing" I kick him under the table " Damn, Greyson, that fucking hurt!" Fun fact about Curtis: he has no filter at all. "Good," I put a fork filled with eggs in my mouth. "well, just as a warning, the amount of PDA coming from these two becomes exhausting to be around," he concludes.

After breakfast, I take Neoma to the closet where she can pick out all her school supplies. "jeez, there's a room for everything in this house?" I laugh. "for the most part, with 150 or so kids in here, we run through stuff pretty quickly." she picks up a plain black Herschel backpack and fills it in with a binder, pencils/pens, and loose-leaf papers. She takes a necklace out of her pocket and puts it in one of the pockets. "what's that?" She looks up. "my mother's amulet broke a few days ago, but I'll carry it in a bag or my pocket." She zips up the bag and puts it on with one strap hanging. I grab my bag, and we head out to my car. "this is your car?" I unlock my car. "yeah," I open the passenger door and hold it open for her. "like seriously, your car?" I chuckle. "yes, is that hard to believe?" she shakes her head. "I just never seen a nice car in person." She gets in the car, admiring the inside.
