The Corrupted One

Chapter 16

It is exactly eight at the night as the man said to return Lora, Emil and Noah are waiting at their car until a group of hooded men arrives with a woman on a wheel chair with a cover on her head. "It's them, they are here" Emil said. "That woman there is Lora, so are you ready?" Noah asked. "Hell yea i am" Emil answered. They got out of the car to meet with the members of the Corrupted Order. "Hello, Emil i see you have a friend with you Noah right?" the hooded man said. "Give me Lora" Emil demanded. "Not so fast we haven't formaly met yet, i am Cyrus the founder of the Corrupted Order" Cyrus said. "Just give us back Lora and we'll forget about everything that ever happened" Emil said. "One last rhing before we hand you off your precious fiancee" Cyrus said. One of the hooded men walks to them hands a knife to Cyrus. "We have to seal the deal" Cyrus said. "Wha- what are you gonna do with that knife?!" Emil asked nervously. "Give me your hand" Cyrus said. Emil gives his hand to Cyrus, after that Cyrus slices Emil's palm. "This slice will be your remembrance of our deal, bring Lora out" Cyrus said. "Ugh, you better give Lora back after that!" Emil said. As Noah is tending on Emil's wound the Corrupted Order starts to take Lora with them. "HEY WHERE ARE YOU TAKING HER!" Emil shouted. "You think we wouldn't know you brought cops with you, i told you no cops!" Cyrus said as he leaves. The Daniel, Viktor and the cops went out of hiding ans starts chasing them. "Hey are you alright?" Viktor asked. "I'm fine!" Emil said. "I'm so sorry i should'nt have not listened to them before when they gave the hard drive" Viktor said emotionally. "There's no time to waste we to go catch up with them" Daniel said. "What even are you doing here Daniel?" Emil asked. "Remember our conversation back in the hospital? you aren't losing her now" Daniel said. They all followed the cops to find the Corrupted Order.

After the cops catch up with the members of the Corrupted Order a shoot-out began between the two groups, some of the members scattered around the place with Lora, Emil and his friends sees Cyrus and a few members enter a compound with Lora, they followed them inside. "Let's split up me and Viktor will follow Cyrus, while you and Daniel take care of the members, be careful!" Emil said. "We'll take them out" Daniel and Noah said. Emil and Viktor follows Cyrus upstairs while Daniel and Noah gets ready to fight, Daniel starts dodging the bullets, he hid behind crates he finds a large piece of metal and uses it to cover himself as he runs towards three grunts, Noah tackles the ones with no weapons he tries to choke one of them but a grunt grabbed him from the back and throws him to the ground, they started to beat Noah up, Daniel sees what is happening grabbed a gun from a knocked out grunt and shoots the grunts that were teaming up on Noah. "Thanks man i appreciate it" Noah said. "No problem" Daniel said. Emil and Viktor corners Cyrus. "Ah i see you have cornered me" Cyrus said. "Give Lora back if you don't want to get hurt" Emil said. "You see im already old i could die anytime so.." Cyrus said. He then tries to stab Emil but manages to dodge it, Viktor and Emil pins him down. "Now tell me how do i stop the Virus" Emil asked. "Is that what you really want, you see here we programmed the Corrupted One to operate it self, it has its own seperate mind, you can say its an entirely different being" Cyrus said. "WHAT?!? BUT HOW" Emil asked. Cyrus smirked and then grabs his knife and stabs himself in the heart, he laughs as blood comes out. "NO NO NO" Emil shouted. Meanwhile one of the grunts escaped Noah and Daniel to come upstairs when he sees Cyrus has a knife on his chest he aims to shoot at Emil, At the last second Viktor jumps infront of Emil as the grunt pulls the trigger. A loud gunshot can be heard in the area, Daniel and Noah went immidiately upstairs and shoot at the grunt before he fires at Emil. "VIKTOR!" Emil shouted. "NO NO NO!" Noah said as he cries to go to Viktor's body. Lora cries in disbelief. "I- i got what i deserved i gu- guess..." Viktor said as he closes his eyes. The police finds them and gets them out of the compound.

They all were mourn the death of Viktor outside. "Hey are you ok?" Lora asked. "Yes, im fine" Emil answered. Lora hugs Emil to comfort him. "Let it all out" Lora said calmingly. A few days had passed Emil, Lora and Noah are at Viktor's funeral, Emil gives a speech for his lost friend. "Me and Viktor might have not agreed about stuff before but he was there when i needed him, he saved me even though he might have done bad stuff before but i know deep inside he a good person, may he rest in peace" Emil said as he ended his speech. Emil and Lora went back home to rest from the crazy stuff that had happened, had they finally found peace in their lives? or is it just the beginning of the event that will change their lives completely?
