ANDERSON’S RESIDENCE
Sarah prepared something for their dinner that night. The family was complete because Ken has no commitment and so with Gerald.
“Surprise!” Somebody shouted at the entrance of the dining.
Lahat sila napatingin dito.
“Kim?!” sabay na sigaw ni Gerald at Ken.
“Kimmy?!” sigaw naman ni Mommy Vangie.
“The one and only! How are you? It’s nice to be back!” sabi nito sabay lapit kay Mommy Vangie. “Good evening po ninang..” sabi niya sabay beso. “Oh, hello there, Ken!” she smiled and kissed him on the check.
She paused for a while and stared at Gerald. “And how can I forget you? It’s been so long, RJ..” sabi nito at lumapit kay Gerald. “Miss you so much..” she whispered and kissed Gerald on the lips.
The three gasped on what they saw. Sarah’s face colored into red. She can’t move and couldn’t speak.
Gerald lightly pushed Kim away and glanced at Sarah. He saw the alarm and anger at the same time in her eyes.
He cleared his throat. “Aahhmm…Babe, this is Kim..Inaanak ni mommy..” baling nito sa kanya. “And Kim this is Sarah, my wife..”
Kim raised her brow. “So, you’re the WIFE?” pinagdiinan pa nito ang huling salita. Nakipagsukatan pa ito ng titig sa kanya bago muling nagsalita. “The gossips are true after all..”
Tension shrouds the dining for a moment. Nag-uusap lang sina Sarah at Gerald sa pamamagitan ng tingin.
“Oh, Hija..Kailan ka pa dumating?” Basag ni Mommy Vangie sa katahimikan.
“Just this morning, tita..” she smiles and seated at the vacant seat beside Ken. “I never thought that RJ would get married this soon. You didn’t tell me, honey.” Sabi nito sabay tingin kay Gerald.
Gerald held Sara’s hand behind the table and gently gripped it. “As far as I know, I don’t have any obligations to tell you about my life especially when it comes to my personal life, Kim..” He said in a control voice.
“Hey, chill out, RJ..I have nothing against your plan. It’s just that, we’ve shared something special for old time sake..”
Sarah released a heavy sigh upon hearing it. Jealousy and anger was rotten on her at the same time..Napahigpit ang hawak niya sa kamay ni Gerald.
“Excuse us everyone. But I guess, my wife’s too tired with our activity this day.” Gerald said and assisted Sarah to stood up..”She needs to rest now.”
“Excuse us..” she whispered..
The three was left in the dining. Matalim ang mga matang sinundan nito ng tingin ang mag-asawa.
